1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1.1. ELECTRICAL SAFETY
WARNING! It is the user’s responsibility to check the following:
Check all electrical equipment and appliances to ensure that they are safe before using.
Inspect power supply leads, plugs and all electrical connections for wear and damage.
Ensure that the insulation on all cables and on the appliance is safe before connecting it to the power supply.
8 DO NOT use worn or damaged cables, plugs or connectors.
9 Ensure that any faulty item is repaired or is replaced immediately by a qualied electrician.
9 If the cable or plug is damaged during use, switch off the electricity supply and remove from use.
9 Sealey recommend that an RCD (Residual Current Device) is used with all electrical products.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that the voltage rating on the appliance suits the power supply to be used and that the plug is tted with the
correct fuse.
8 DO NOT pull or carry the appliance by the power cable.
8 DO NOT pull the plug from the socket by the cable.
1.2. GENERAL SAFETY
1.2.1. Save this manual for the safety warnings and precautions, assembly instructions, operating and maintenance procedures, parts list
and diagrams. Keep your invoice with this manual. Keep the manual and invoice in a safe and dry place for future reference.
9 Familiarise yourself with the application and limitations of the product, as well as the specific hazards.
WARNING! Isolate the product from the electrical supply before servicing or performing any maintenance.
9 Maintain the product in good condition (use an authorised service agent).
9 Replace or repair damaged parts. Use recommended parts only. Unauthorised parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the
warranty.
9 Locate and fix the product in a suitable work area. DO NOT position in direct sunlight, or in areas of extreme heat or cold.
9 Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the work area.
8 DO NOT use the product for any purpose other than that for which it is designed.
8 DO NOT operate the product when you are tired, under the influence of alcohol, drugs or intoxicating medication.
9 When not in use, switch off and unplug from the electrical supply.
WARNING! DO NOT dismantle the product, to do so may result in damage to the product and/or personal injury and will invalidate the
warranty. Internal maintenance, which will require the opening of the casing, must only be undertaken by an authorised service agent.
9 Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas invite injuries.
9 Observe work area conditions. DO NOT use machines or power tools in damp or wet locations. Don’t expose to rain. Keep work area
well lit. DO NOT use electrically powered tools in the presence of flammable gases or liquids.
9 Keep children away. Children must never be allowed in the work area. DO NOT let them handle machines, tools, or extension cords.
9 Store idle equipment. When not in use, tools must be stored in a dry location to inhibit rust. Always lock up tools and keep out of reach
of children.
8 DO NOT force tool. It will do the job better and more safely at the rate for which it was intended. DO NOT use inappropriate
attachments in an attempt to exceed the tool capacity.
9 Use the right tool for the job. DO NOT attempt to force a small tool or attachment to do the work of a larger industrial tool. DO NOT
modify this tool and DO NOT use this tool for a purpose for which it was not intended.
9 Dress properly. DO NOT wear loose clothing or jewellery as they can be caught in moving parts. Protective, electrically non-conductive
clothes and non-skid footwear are recommended when working. Wear restrictive hair covering to contain long hair.
9 Use eye and ear protection. Always wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles. Wear a full face shield if you are producing metal
filings or wood chips. Wear an ANSI approved dust mask or respirator when working around metal, wood, and chemical dusts and
mists.
9 Avoid unintentional starting. Be sure the switch is in the Off position when not in use and before plugging in.
9 Stay alert. Watch what you are doing, use common sense. DO NOT operate any tool when you are tired.
9 Check for damaged parts. Before using any tool, any part that appears damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will
operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment and binding of moving parts; any broken parts or mounting
fixtures; and any other condition that may affect proper operation. Any part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by
a qualified technician. DO NOT use the tool if any switch does not turn on and off properly.

9 Extension cord usage may also affect tool performance.
WARNING! The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and

8 DO NOT use ceramic, wet or water based media in tumbler. Use only plastic beads, ground corn cobs, walnut shells, etc.
8 DO NOT use to polish stones. A rotary tumbler (such as Rotary Rock Tumbler or Dual Drum Rotary Rock Tumbler) and water-mixed
media is required for polishing stones.
8 DO NOT exceed 5lb tank capacity.
8 DO NOT use without top lid in place. Hazardous dust may be created and media and/or work materials may be ejected.
8 DO NOT remove top lid immediately after use. Wait at least 1 hour after tumbling is complete before opening top lid. This will allow
dust to settle.
8 DO NOT place items on the top lid during use.
9 Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool.
9 Industrial applications must follow OSHA guidelines.
9 Maintain labels and nameplates on the tool. These carry important safety information.
9 Avoid unintentional starting. Prepare to begin work before turning on the tool.
9 People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before use. Electromagnetic fields in close proximity to heart pacemaker
could cause pacemaker interference or pacemaker failure.
2. INTRODUCTION
Vibratory tumbler suitable for surface cleaning and polishing, rust removal and deburring, providing quick and effective results. Small
Vibratory Tumbler is for dry use only. Allows for efficient cleaning and polishing of various small metal objects and other items with the
assistance of cleaning medias. Features a polymer bowl designed to withstand rigorous use and ensure longevity.

4. OPERATION
4.1. CHOOSING A MEDIA
4.1.1. The media used in standard tumblers is generally not suitable for vibratory machines. Any media that is run wet is NOT suitable for this
tumbler.
Vibratory tumblers often use dry media that is too light to be effective in standard tumblers. Steel and ceramic media, generally used in
tumbling, may also be used in heavy duty vibratory machines.
There is a wide variety of media to be used in vibratory finishing. The chart below outlines the recommended media for this tumbler.
4.2. FOR DEGREASING: Use corncob, walnut shell or plastic media, tumble for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
4.3. TO REMOVE RUST: Use plastic media, depending on the condition of the materials, tumble for 2 - 6 hours.
4.4. TO POLISH: Tumble in walnut shell or corncob media. DO NOT add water. Add a small amount of commercial metal polish. NOTE:
Plastic beads are usually used with a powdered abrasive added. CAUTION! Walnut shells can create an oil during use, which can
lead to slight discolouring of object.
4.5. WORKPIECE AND WORK AREA SET UP
4.5.1. Designate a work area that is clean and well-lit. The work area must not allow access by children or pets to prevent distraction and
injury.
4.5.2. Route the power cord along a safe route to reach the work area without creating a tripping hazard or exposing the power cord to
possible damage. The power cord must reach the work area with enough extra length to allow free movement while working.

4.6. GENERAL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Use this tumbler for the following finishing applications:
4.6.1. Removing rust or other surface imperfections from hardware.
4.6.2. Removing burrs from machined or stamped hardware or other small parts.
4.6.3. Polishing small parts.
4.6.4. Removing any contaminants from various metal parts.
4.6.5. Make sure Tank interior is dry before each use.
4.6.6. Fill the tumbler bowl about 2/3 full with polishing media. Add metal parts as needed up to a maximum of 5lbs of material (including
media). DO NOT overfill. Overfilling will cause the polishing process to go much slower. If the tumbler is running too slowly, remove
some items and restart the machine.
4.6.7. Place the top lid on the vibratory bowl, make sure that the protect tube is correctly in place. Add the rubber pad and washer and finger-
tighten using the wing nut.
4.6.8. Connect power cord to the nearest mains supply and press the switch on the tumbler to the “ON” position.
▲ CAUTION! DO NOT place any items on the top lid while the tumbler is operating.
▲ CAUTION! Never tumble with the top lid off, as hazardous dust may be created, and the media or work materials may be ejected from
the tumbler.
4.6.9. When the tumbling is completed, press the power switch to the OFF(“O”) position before opening the tumbler.
4.6.10. To prevent accidents, turn off the tumbler and disconnect its power supply after use. Clean, then store the tumbler indoors out of
children’s reach.
5. MAINTENANCE
WARNING! Procedures not specifically explained in this manual must be performed only by a qualified technician.
NOTE: For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following pages, refer to the assembly diagram.
WARNING! Disconnect from mains before attempting any maintenance work.
5.1. TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM TOOL FAILURE: DO NOT use damaged equipment. If abnormal noise or vibration occurs,
have the problem corrected before further use.
5.2. CLEANING, MAINTENANCE, AND LUBRICATION
5.2.1. BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition of the tumbler. Check for:
5.2.2. Loose hardware.
5.2.3. Misalignment or binding of moving parts.
5.2.4. Cracked or broken parts.
5.2.5. Damaged electrical wiring, and any other condition that may affect its safe operation.
5.2.6. Check that the rubber washer is in good condition and in place. Replace if damaged.
5.2.7. The rubber feet at the bottom of the base may eventually wear out. Inspect these periodically. If worn, replace.
5.2.8. Protect the motor from water and moisture.
5.2.9. Store tumbler in a dry location and out of the reach of children when not in use.
5.2.10. After use, wipe external surfaces of the tumbler with a clean cloth.
WARNING! If the supply cord of this power tool is damaged, it must be replaced only by a qualified service technician.
6. TROUBLESHOOTING
Follow all safety precautions whenever diagnosing or servicing the tool. Disconnect power supply before service.
