precautions must be followed.
• Dispose of properly in accordance with federal

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
This appliance is not intended for use by persons

mental capabilities may be different or reduced,
or who lack experience or knowledge, unless such

the appliance by a person responsible for their

This appliance is intended to be used in household

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance must be grounded. Grounding
reduces the risk of electrical shock by providing an
escape wire for the electrical current.
This appliance has a cord that has a grounding
wire with a 3-prong plug. The power cord must be
plugged into an outlet that is properly grounded.
If the outlet is a 2-prong wall outlet, it must be
replaced with a properly grounded 3-prong wall
outlet. The serial rating plate indicates the voltage
and frequency the appliance is designed for.
WARNING - Improper use of the grounding
plug can result in a risk of electric shock.
Consult a qualied electrician or service agent
if the grounding instructions are not completely
understood, or if doubt exists as to whether the
appliance is properly grounded.
Do not connect your appliance to extension
cords or together with another appliance in the
same wall outlet. Do not splice the power cord.
Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the
third ground prong from the power cord. Do not
use extension cords or ungrounded (two prongs)
adapters.

LOCATION
• Two people should be used when moving the
appliance.
• Remove interior and exterior packaging prior to
installation. Wipe the outside of the appliance
with a soft, dry cloth and the inside with a
lukewarm wet cloth.
• Place the appliance on a oor that is strong
enough to support it when it is fully loaded.
• Do not place the appliance in direct sunlight or
near sources of heat, such as a stove or heater,
as this can increase electrical consumption.
Extreme cold ambient temperatures may also
cause the appliance to perform improperly.
• Do not use the appliance near water, for
example in a wet basement or near a sink.
• This appliance is intended for household use
only. It is not designed for outside installation,
including anywhere that is not temperature
controlled (garages, porches, vehicles, etc.).
• Before connecting the appliance to a power
source, let it stand upright for approximately
6 hours. This will reduce the possibility of a
malfunction in the cooling system from handling
during transportation.
• This appliance is 54.5 cm (21.5 inches) wide by
142.5 cm (56.1 inches) high by 56.5 cm (22.2
inches) deep.
• Allow 12.7 cm (5 inches) of space between the
back and sides of the appliance and the wall.
• Allow 50 cm (20 inches) of space between the
top of the appliance any overhanging wall units.
• This appliance is intended for free-standing
installation only and is not intended to be
built into a cabinet or counter. Building in this
appliance can cause it to malfunction.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
FREEZER TEMPERATURE SELECTION
The freezer control panel is located on the rear wall
of the freezer compartment.
Turn the dial in the freezer compartment has 3
cooling settings and an OFF setting.
Turn the dial to the preferred setting. The warmest
setting is indicated by a single snowake and the
coldest setting is indicated by three snowakes.
The OFF setting will turn off the cooling function to
both the freezer and refrigerator.
Note:
It is recommended to set the dial to the middle
setting which is indicated by two snowakes.

LEVELING INSTRUCTIONS
There are two adjustable legs on the bottom of the
appliance that can be turned up or down to ensure
that the appliance is level.
1. Turn the leveling legs counter-clockwise as far as
they will go, until the top of the feet are touching
the bottom of the cabinet.
2. Slowly turn the leveling legs clockwise until the
appliance is level.
REFRIGERATOR TEMPERATURE SELECTION
The refrigerator control panel is located on the rear
wall of the refrigerator compartment.
The internal temperature is controlled by a sensor
with 8 settings (0 through 7).
The warmest setting is 1 and the coldest setting is 7.
Setting the freezer at 0 turns the both the freezer
and the refrigerator off.
MOVABLE SHELVES
The walls of the refrigerator are equipped with
a series of runners so that the shelves can be
positioned as desired.
MOVABLE DOOR BINS
To allow storage of food packages of various sizes,
the door bins can be placed at different heights.
• Gradually pull the bin in the direction of the
arrows until it comes free.
• Reposition as required.

DOOR REVERSAL INSTRUCTIONS
If the appliance is placed on its back or side during this process it must be allowed to stand upright for 6
hours before plugging in to avoid damage to internal components.
Before reversing the door, please be prepared with the following tools and materials:
Straight screwdriver, cross (phillips) screwdriver, spanner and components included in the poly bag.
1. Carefully remove the top hinge cover with a at
screwdriver.
2. Unscrew the top hinge with a phillips
screwdriver.
3. Remove the hole cover with a at screwdriver.
4. Move the core cover from the left side to the
right side. Lift the upper door and place it on a
padded surface to prevent it from scratching.
5. Unscrew the middle hinge using a phillips
screwdriver and take off the lower door.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
6. Laying the refrigerator on its back, take out
the adjusting feet and unscrew the lower hinge
using the phillips screwdriver.
7. Unscrew and remove the bottom hinge pin, turn
the bracket over and replace it.
8. Ret the bracket tting the bottom hinge pin.
Replace both adjustable feet. Transfer the lower
door to the proper position.
9. Make the middle hinge reverse the direction
180°, then transfer it to the left position. Place
the middle hinge pin in the upper hole of the
lower door, then tighten the screws.
10. Unscrew the right middle stopper with metal
block from the bottom of the upper door. Install
the left middle stopper and metal block in the left
side of the bottom of the upper door.
11. Install the upper door with the upper hinge.
12. Install the hinge cover and hole cover on the top
of the appliance.

CLEANING
Ensure the appliance has been turned off and
unplugged.
• To clean the inside of the appliance, use a soft
cloth and a solution made of a tablespoon of
baking soda to one quart of water or some mild
detergent.
• Wash removable shelves in a mild detergent
solution, then dry and wipe with a soft cloth.
• Clean the outside with a soft, damp cloth and
some mild detergent.
• It is important to keep the area clean where the
door seals against the cabinet. Clean this area
with a soapy cloth. Rinse with a damp cloth and
let dry.
Note: Do not use cleaners containing ammonia or
alcohol on the appliance. Ammonia or alcohol can
damage the appearance of the appliance. Never
use any commercial or abrasive cleaners or sharp
objects on any part of the appliance.
Note:
Never clean the appliance with a steam cleaner.
Moisture could accumulate in the electrical
compones and hot vapors can lead to damage of
plastic parts.
POWER FAILURE
Most power failures are corrected within a few
hours and should not affect the temperature of your
appliance if you minimize the number of times the
door is opened. If the power is going to be off for
a longer period of time, take the proper steps to
protect your contents.
Note: Wait 3 to 5 minutes before attempting
to restart the refrigerator if operation has been
interrupted.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
DEFROST
This appliance is equipped with an automatic
defrost function and does not require manual
defrosting. Defrost water from the appliance
is channeled into a drip tray located near the
compressor. Heat transfer from the compressor
causes the defrost water to evaporate.
VACATION
• Short vacations: Leave the appliance operating
during vacations of less than three weeks.
• Long vacations: If the appliance will not be used
for several months, remove all items and turn
off the appliance. Clean and dry the interior
thoroughly. To prevent odor and mold growth,
prop the door open.
MOVING
• Remove all items.
• Use tape to secure the shelves inside the
appliance.
• Turn the adjustable leg up to the base to avoid
damage.
• Tape the door shut.
• Protect the outside of the appliance with a
blanket or similar item.
• Be sure the appliance stays in the upright
position during transportation. If the appliance is
placed on its back or side during transportation,
upon reaching the destination, allow it to remain
upright for 6 hours before plugging in to avoid
damage to internal components.
DISPOSAL
This appliance may not be treated as regular
household waste, it should be taken to the
appropriate waste collection point for recycling
of electrical components. For information on local
waste collection points, contact your local waste
removal agency or government ofce.

This quality product is warranted to be free from manufacturer’s defects in material and workmanship, provided that the unit is used under the normal operating
conditions intended by the manufacturer.
This warranty is available only to the person to whom the unit was originally sold by Danby Products Limited (Canada) or Danby Products Inc. (U.S.A.) (hereafter
“Danby”) or by an authorized distributor of Danby, and is non-transferable.
TERMS OF WARRANTY
Plastic parts, are warranted for thirty (30) days only from purchase date, with no extensions provided.
First Year
During the rst twelve (12) months, any functional parts of this product found to be defective, will be repaired or replaced, at warrantor’s
option, at no charge to the ORIGINAL purchaser.

EMPLACEMENT
• Deux personnes doivent être utilisées pour
déplacer l’appareil.

INSTRUCTIONS DE NIVEAU
La partie inférieure de l’appareil comporte deux
pieds réglables qui peuvent être tournés vers le haut
ou vers le bas pour s’assurer que l’appareil est de

1. Tournez les pieds de réglage dans le sens
inverse des aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’à ce
que le haut des pieds touche le fond du meuble.
2. Tournez lentement les pieds de réglage dans le

INSTRUCTIONS POUR L’INVERSION DE LA PORTE
Si l’appareil est placé sur le dos ou sur le côté pendant cette opération, il doit rester debout pendant 6
heures avant d’être branché an d’éviter d’endommager les composants internes.
Avant d’inverser la porte, préparez les outils et le matériel suivants :
Tournevis droit, tournevis cruciforme, clé à molette et composants inclus dans le sac en polyéthylène.
1. Retirez avec précaution le couvercle de la
charnière supérieure à l’aide d’un tournevis plat.
2. Dévisser la charnière supérieure à l’aide d’un
tournevis cruciforme.
3. Retirer le couvercle du trou à l’aide d’un
tournevis plat.
4. Déplacez le couvercle du noyau du côté gauche
vers le côté droit. Soulevez la porte supérieure et
placez-la sur une surface rembourrée pour éviter
qu’elle ne se raye.
5. Dévisser la charnière centrale à l’aide d’un
tournevis cruciforme et retirer la porte inférieure.

6. En couchant le réfrigérateur sur le dos, retirez
les pieds de réglage et dévissez la charnière
inférieure à l’aide du tournevis Phillips.
7. Dévissez et retirez l’axe de la charnière
inférieure, retournez le support et remettez-le en
place.
8. Remettre le support en place en insérant l’axe de
la charnière inférieure. Remettez les deux pieds
réglables en place. Transférer la porte inférieure
dans la bonne position.
9. Inverser la direction de la charnière centrale
de 180°, puis la transférer en position gauche.
Placer l’axe de la charnière centrale dans le trou
supérieur de la porte inférieure, puis serrer les
vis.
10. Dévisser la butée centrale droite avec le bloc
métallique du bas de la porte supérieure.
Installer la butée centrale gauche et le bloc de
métal dans le côté gauche du bas de la porte
supérieure.
11. Installer la porte supérieure avec la charnière
supérieure.
12. Installez le couvercle de la charnière et le
couvercle du trou sur le dessus de l’appareil.

ÉTAGÈRES MOBILES
Les parois du réfrigérateur sont équipées d’une série
de glissières permettant de positionner les étagères
à volonté.
BACS À PORTE MOBILE
Pour permettre le stockage d’emballages
alimentaires de différentes tailles, les bacs de porte
peuvent être placés à différentes hauteurs.
• Tirez progressivement le bac dans le sens des
èches jusqu’à ce qu’il se libère.
• Repositionner si nécessaire.
SOINS ET ENTRETIEN
NETTOYAGE
Assurez-vous que l’appareil a été éteint et
débranché.
• Pour nettoyer l’intérieur de l’appareil, utilisez
un chiffon doux et une solution composée d’une
cuillère à soupe de bicarbonate de soude et
d’un litre d’eau ou un peu de détergent doux.
• Lavez les étagères amovibles dans une solution
détergente douce, puis séchez et essuyez avec
un chiffon doux.
• Nettoyez l’extérieur avec un chiffon doux et
humide et un peu de détergent doux.
• Il est important de garder la zone propre où
la porte scelle contre le cabinet. Nettoyez cette
zone avec un chiffon savonneux. Rincer avec un
linge humide et laisser sécher.
Remarque: N’utilisez pas de produits nettoyants
comprenant de l’ammoniaque ou de l’alcool sur
l’appareil. L’ammoniaque ou l’alcool peuvent altérer
le ni de l’appareil. N’utilisez jamais de nettoyant
industriels sur aucune partie de votre appareil.
Remarque: Ne nettoyez jamais l’appareil avec
un nettoyeur à vapeur. De l’humidité pourrait
s’accumuler dans les composants électriques et les
vapeurs chaudes pourraient endommager les pièces
en plastique.
PANNE DE COURANT
La plupart des pannes de courant ne durent que
quelques heures et ne devraient pas modier la
température de votre l’appareil si vous réduisez au
maximum le nombre de fois où la porte est ouverte.
Si le courant reste coupé pendant une longue
période. il faut prendre des mesures de protection
du contenu de l’appareil.
Remarque : Attendez 3 à 5 minutes avant d’essayer
de redémarrer le réfrigérateur si l’opération a été
interrompue.
DÉGIVRER
Cet appareil est équipé d’une fonction de dégivrage
automatique et ne nécessite pas de dégivrage
manuel. L’eau de dégivrage de l’appareil est
acheminée dans un bac d’égouttage situé près du
compresseur. Le transfert de chaleur du compresseur
provoque l’évaporation de l’eau de dégivrage.
VACANCES
• Courtes vacances : Laissez l’unité fonctionner
pendant les vacances de moins de trois
semaines.
• Longues vacances : Si l’unité ne doit pas être
utilisé pendant plusieurs mois, retirez tout ce
qu’il contient et mettez-le hors tension. Nettoyez
et asséchez à fond l’intérieur. Pour empêcher la
croissance des odeurs et des moisissures, gardez

UBICACIÓN
• Se deben utilizar dos personas al mover el
aparato.
• Retire el embalaje interior y exterior antes de la
instalación. Limpie el exterior del aparato con
un paño suave y seco y el interior con un paño
húmedo tibio.
• Coloque el aparato en un piso que sea lo
sucientemente fuerte como para soportarlo
cuando esté completamente cargado.
• Ubique el aparato lejos de la luz directa del sol
y fuentes de calor (estufa, calentador, radiador,
etc.). La luz solar directa y las fuentes de calor
pueden aumentar el consumo eléctrico. Las
temperaturas ambientales extremadamente frías
también pueden causar que la unidad funcione
incorrectamente.
• No utilice este producto cerca del agua, por
ejemplo, en un sótano húmedo o cerca de un
fregadero.

INSTRUCCIONES DE NIVELACIÓN
Hay dos patas ajustables en la parte inferior del
aparato que se pueden girar hacia arriba o hacia
abajo para asegurar que el aparato esté nivelado.
1. Gire las patas niveladoras en el sentido

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
SELECCIÓN DE LA TEMPERATURA DEL
CONGELADOR
El panel de control del congelador está situado en
la pared trasera del compartimento del congelador..
Gire el dial del compartimento del congelador tiene
3 ajustes de refrigeración y un ajuste de OFF.
Gire el dial hasta el ajuste preferido. El ajuste más
caliente se indica con un solo copo de nieve y el
ajuste más frío se indica con tres copos de nieve.
La posición OFF desactiva la función de
refrigeración tanto en el congelador como en el
refrigerador.
Nota:
Se recomienda ajustar el dial en la posición media,
indicada por dos copos de nieve.
SELECCIÓN DE TEMPERATURA DEL
REFRIGERADOR

La temperatura interna se controla mediante un
sensor con 8 ajustes (de 0 a 7).
El ajuste más cálido es 1 y el más frío 7.

INSTRUCCIONES DE INVERSIÓN DE LA PUERTA
Si el aparato se coloca boca arriba o de lado durante este proceso, debe dejarse en posición vertical
durante 6 horas antes de enchufarlo para evitar daños en los componentes internos.
Antes de invertir la puerta, prepárese con las siguientes herramientas y materiales:
Destornillador recto, destornillador de estrella (phillips), llave inglesa y componentes incluidos en la bolsa
de polietileno.
1. Retire con cuidado la cubierta superior de la
bisagra con un destornillador planor.
2. Desatornille la bisagra superior con un
destornillador Phillips.
3. Retire la tapa del oricio con un destornillador
plano.
4. Mueva la cubierta del núcleo del lado izquierdo
al derecho. Levante la puerta superior y
colóquela sobre una supercie acolchada para
evitar que se raye.
5. Desatornille la bisagra central con un
destornillador Phillips y retire la puerta inferior.

6. Coloque el frigoríco boca arriba, saque las
patas de ajuste y desatornille la bisagra inferior
con el destornillador Phillips.
7. Desatornille y retire el pasador de la bisagra
inferior, dé la vuelta al soporte y vuelva a
colocarlo.
8. Vuelva a colocar el soporte encajando el
pasador de la bisagra inferior. Vuelva a colocar
los dos pies regulables. Coloque la puerta
inferior en la posición correcta.
9. Invierta 180° la dirección de la bisagra central
y, a continuación, colóquela en la posición
izquierda. Coloque el pasador de la bisagra
central en el oricio superior de la puerta
inferior y apriete los tornillos.
10. Desatornille el tapón central derecho con el
bloque metálico de la parte inferior de la puerta
superior. Instale el tapón central izquierdo y el
bloque metálico en el lado izquierdo de la parte
inferior de la puerta superior.
11. Instale la puerta superior con la bisagra
superior.
12. Instale la tapa de la bisagra y la tapa del
oricio en la parte superior del aparato.

ESTANTES MÓVILES
Las paredes del frigoríco están equipadas con una
serie de guías para poder colocar los estantes como
se desee.
CUBOS DE PUERTA MÓVIL
Para permitir el almacenamiento de paquetes de
alimentos de distintos tamaños, los compartimentos
de la puerta pueden colocarse a diferentes alturas.
• Tire gradualmente de la papelera en la
dirección de las echas hasta que se suelte.
• Reposicionar según sea necesario.

CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO
LIMPIEZA
Asegúrese de que el aparato está apagado
y desenchufado.
• Para limpiar el interior del aparato, use un paño
suave y una solución hecho de una cucharada
de bicarbonato de sodio con un litro de agua o
un poco de detergente suave.
• Lave los estantes extraíbles en una solución de
detergente suave, luego seque y limpie con un
paño suave.
• Limpie el exterior con un paño suave y húmedo
y un poco de detergente suave.
• Es importante mantener el área limpia donde la
puerta se sella contra el gabinete. Limpie esta
área con un paño jabonoso. Enjuague con un
paño húmedo y deje secar.
Nota: No utilice limpiadores que contengan
amoníaco o alcohol en el aparato. El amoniaco o
el alcohol pueden dañar el aspecto del aparato.
Nunca utilice limpiadores comerciales o abrasivos
ni objetos alados en ninguna parte del aparato.
Nota: No limpie nunca el aparato con un limpiador
de vapor. Podría acumularse humedad en los

FALLO DE ALIMENTACIÓN
La mayoría de las fallas de alimentación se corrigen
en pocas horas y no deben afectar la temperatura

DESCONGELAR
Este aparato está equipado con una función
de descongelación automática y no requiere
descongelación manual. El agua de desescarche del
aparato se canaliza hacia una bandeja de goteo
ubicada cerca del compresor. La transferencia de
calor desde el compresor hace que el agua de
descongelación se evapore.
VACACIONES
• Vacaciones cortas: Deje el aparato en
funcionamiento durante las vacaciones de
menos de tres semanas.
• Largas vacaciones: Si el aparato no se va
a utilizar durante varios meses, retire todos

This warranty is available only to the person to whom the unit was originally sold by Danby Products Limited (Canada) or Danby Products Inc. (U.S.A.) (hereafter
“Danby”) or by an authorized distributor of Danby, and is non-transferable.
TERMS OF WARRANTY
Plastic parts, are warranted for thirty (30) days only from purchase date, with no extensions provided.
First Year
During the rst twelve (12) months, any functional parts of this product found to be defective, will be repaired or replaced, at warrantor’s
option, at no charge to the ORIGINAL purchaser.

Danby reserves the right to limit the boundaries of “In Home Service” to the proximity of an Authorized Service Depot. Any app liance

GENERAL PROVISIONS
No warranty or insurance herein contained or set out shall apply when damage or repair is caused by any of the following:
1) Power failure.
2) Damage in transit or when moving the appliance.
3) Improper power supply such as low voltage, defective house wiring or inadequate fuses.
4) Accident, alteration, abuse or misuse of the appliance such as inadequate air circulation in the room or abnormal operating con ditions
(extremely high or low room temperature).
5) Use for commercial or industrial purposes (ie. If the appliance is not installed in a domestic residence).
6) Fire, water damage, theft, war, riot, hostility, acts of God such as hurricanes, oods etc.
7) Service calls resulting in customer education.
8) Improper Installation (ie. Building-in of a free standing appliance or using an appliance outdoors that is not approved for out door application).
Proof of purchase date will be required for warranty claims; so, please retain bills of sale. In the event warranty service is required, present this document to our
