IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions shouldalways
be followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING APPLIANCE.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against risk of electric shock, do not immerse or partially immerse
the cord, plugs, or the entire unit in water or any other liquid.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
6. Unplug from wall outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool
before cleaning or storing this appliance.
7. Never yank the cord to disconnect the appliance from the outlet. Instead,
grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.

NOTES ON THE PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce
the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
NOTES ON THE CORD
A. A short power-supply cord (or detached power-supply cord) is provided
to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over
a long cord.
B. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available
and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
C. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
1. The marked electrical rating of the cord set, or extension cord should be at
least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
2. If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a
grounding-type3-wire cord.
3. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the
countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped
over.
PLASTICIZER WARNING
CAUTION: To prevent plasticizers from migrating to the finish of the countertop or
tabletop or other furniture, place NON-PLASTIC coasters or place mats between
the appliance and the finish of the countertop or tabletop. Failure to do so may
cause the finish to darken, permanent blemishes may occur, or stains can appear.
ELECTRIC POWER
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not
operate properly. It should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other
appliances.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
• Remove all parts included in the box.
• Clean all the parts thoroughly (refer to Cleaning and Maintenance section for more information).
NOTE: Your Waffle Maker may emit a small amount of smoke and/or odor when you use it for the first time. This is
normal and harmless, however we recommend that you do not eat the first waffle you make with the Waffle Maker.
USING YOUR WAFFLE MAKER
1. Unlock your waffle maker by pressing the button on the back of the unit and turn counter-clockwise (Figure 1).
Unlock the clasp of the handle.
2. Plug the cord into your 120 V AC wall outlet. The orange power light will illuminate indicating the appliance is
ready for preheating.
3. The indicator light will turn from orange to white when the Waffle Maker reaches proper cooking temperature.
This should take approximately 3 to 5 minutes. Once heated, ready times will be faster.
4. Open the Waffle Maker, and apply a light layer of vegetable oil, olive oil or canola oil to the cooking plates.
Add 3/4 – 1 cup of batter to the center of the cooking plate and spread the batter evenly onto the lower plate
so that peak areas of the plate are covered.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE COOKING SPRAYS. THEY CAN CAUSE A BUILD-UP ON THE COOKING PLATES AND MAY
AFFECT THE CERAMIC NON-STICK PERFORMANCE OF THE PRODUCT.
5. Close the lid and using the handle, flip the waffle plates to the other side (Figure 2).
NOTE: Do not lock the handle.
6. Cook for about 2 ½ minutes or until the indicator light turns back to white. Lift the handle to open.
NOTE: Do not open the waffle maker for at least 1 min 30 seconds. This can cause the under-cooked waffles to break
and they can be difficult to remove from the plates.
7 If the waffles are not dark enough, close the Waffle Maker and continue to cook. Check every minute for
doneness.
8. When you are satisfied with your waffles, use a non-metallic utensil to remove them from the heating plates.
Repeat for as many waffles as desired.
NOTE: Repeat waffles cook faster because extra heat has been retained.
9. After it has sufficiently cooled, the heating plates may be wiped clean.
TIPS FOR PERFECTLY BAKED WAFFLES
1. Stir your waffle batter only until large chunks of dry ingredients are dissolved. Over mixing the waffle batter
can cause the waffles to be hard.
2. The exact amount of batter needed to make perfect full-sized waffles depends on the type and consistency of
the batter. Use the same ladle or measuring cup each time to determine how much batter you need to fill the
lower plate fully so as to cover the peaks in the plate.
3. When making softer variety of waffles, once they are baked, make sure to cut the waffles into halves or in 4
quarters and support them with a spatula at the bottom so it is easier to take them out from the plates, since
softer waffles can break easily.
4. When making large batches to serve at once, you can keep the waffles fresh & crisp by placing them in a
preheated oven at 200°F. Take them out using oven mitts when you are ready to serve.
5. To avoid waffles with a moist base, kept the waffles on a wire cooling rack. This will retain the crispness of the
waffles.
6. You can reheat your waffles in the waffle maker. Pre-heat the waffle maker. Once preheated, place the waffles
on the lower plate so they fit the grooves correctly, then close the waffle maker and heat for 1 to 2 minutes,
checking every 30 seconds to avoid burning.
7. You can also freeze your waffles to eat later. After the freshly baked waffles have cooled completely, pack them in a
covered container or plastic freezer bag. Make sure to separate the waffles with a sheet of wax paper between each
waffle. To reheat the frozen waffles, place in a pre-heated oven, toaster oven or toaster until they are hot.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Always turn off the appliance, unplug it, and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
2. You can easily remove any excess oils or crumbs without disassembling the appliance.
NOTE: NEVER SUBMERGE THE APPLIANCE IN WATER OR PLACE IT IN THE DISHWASHER.
3. For best results and preserve the ceramic non-stick coating longer, use nylon, plastic, wooden or
rubber utensils.
4. Use a soft cloth on the heating plates and occasionally a metal polish intended for stainless steel on
the outer housing. Never use abrasive scouring pads or steel wool.
5. If there is hardened batter on the plates, pour a little oil and let it sit for about 5-7 minutes.
You can then wipe clean with a paper towel.
6. Do not use the Flip Waffle Maker for anything other than making waffles.
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user serviceable parts. Do not try to repair it yourself. Any
servicing requiring disassembly other than cleaning must be performed by a qualified appliance repair technician.
HINTS FOR CARE AND USE OF CERAMIC NON-STICK SURFACE
• To avoid scratching the ceramic non-stick surface, do not stack objects on the waffle cooking plates.
• Use medium to low heat for best cooking results. Very high temperatures can cause discoloration and shorten
the life span of any non-stick surface. If higher temperatures are necessary, preheat on medium heat for a few
minutes.
• Use only nylon, plastic, or wooden utensils with care to avoid scratching the non-stick surface. Never cut food
on the grill or griddle plate.
• Remove stubborn stains with a plastic scouring pad and mild dish washing liquid; DO NOT USE STEEL WOOL
as it will damage the non-stick surface of the cooking plates.
STEPS FOR STAIN REMOVAL AND PROPER CARE OF YOUR CERAMIC NON-STICK COATING
1. Identify stained areas on the cooking surface and sprinkle some baking soda on the stains.
2. Moisten the baking soda to get a paste like texture by adding some water.
3. Let the paste stand for a few minutes on the stains (not more than an hour).
4. Rub with a soft damp cloth or lightly scrub with a plastic scouring pad, wipe clean and dry thoroughly.
NOTE: Do not rub vigorously when using a plastic scouring pad and NEVER use a metal scouring pad as this may
damage the non-stick coating.
5. Repeat the cycle once again if necessary The performance and non-stick property of the ceramic non-stick
coating will not be affected due to stains.
STORING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Unplug and clean unit.
WARNING: Never store the unit while it is hot or plugged in.
2. Close Flip Waffle Maker with clasp.
3. Press and turn to the right to lock the waffle upright (Figure 3). (To unlock, press and turn button to the left).
4. Wrap the cord around the cord storage.
WARNING: Never wrap cord tightly around the unit. Never place any stress on the cord, especially where cord enters
the unit, as this could cause the cord to fray and break.
WARNING: Make sure to unroll cord from cord storage before plugging it into the outlet.
5. Store in a clean, dry place.

SENSIO Inc. hereby warrants that for a period of TWO YEARS from the date of purchase,
this product will be free from mechanical defects in material and workmanship, and
for 90 days in respect to non-mechanical parts. At its sole discretion, SENSIO Inc. will
either repair or replace the product found to be defective, or issue a refund on the
product during the warranty period.
The warranty is only valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail
purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase is
required to obtain warranty validation. Retail stores selling this product do not have the
right to alter, modify, or in any way revise the terms and conditions of the warranty.
EXCLUSIONS:
The warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the
following: negligent use of the product, use of improper voltage or current, improper
routine maintenance, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair, or
alteration by anyone other than qualied SENSIO Inc. personnel. Also, the warranty
does not cover Acts of God such as re, oods, hurricanes, or tornadoes.
SENSIO Inc. shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused
by the breach of any express or implied warranty. Apart from the extent prohibited
by applicable law, any implied warranty of merchantability or tness for a particular
purpose is limited in time to the duration of the warranty. Some states, provinces or
jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and therefore, the
above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you. The warranty covers specic legal
rights which may vary by state, province and/or jurisdiction.
HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE:
You must contact Customer Service at our toll-free number: 1-866-832-4843.
A Customer Service Representative will attempt to resolve warranty issues over the
phone. If the Customer Service Representative is unable to resolve the problem, you will
be provided with a case number and asked to return the product to SENSIO Inc. Attach
a tag to the product that includes: your name, address, daytime contact telephone
number, case number, and description of the problem. Also, include a copy of the
original sales receipt. Carefully package the tagged product with the sales receipt,
and send it (with shipping and insurance prepaid) to SENSIO Inc.’s address. SENSIO
Inc. shall bear no responsibility or liability for the returned product while in transit to
SENSIOInc.’s Customer Service Center.

NOTAS SOBRE EL ENCHUFE

C. Si se utiliza un cable de alimentación desconectable largo o un cable de
extensión:
1. La clasificación eléctrica marcada en el cable de alimentación
desconectable o cable de extensión deberá ser al menos igual a la
clasificación eléctrica del aparato;
2. Si el aparato es del tipo con conexión a tierra, el cable de extensión
deberá ser un cable de 3 hilos con conexión a tierra;

ANTES DEL PRIMER USO
• Quite todas las piezas de la caja.
• Limpie bien todas las piezas (consulte la sección de Limpieza y mantenimiento para obtener más información).
NOTA: Su waflera puede emitir una pequeña cantidad de humo y/u olor cuando la use por primera vez. Esto es
normal e inofensivo, sin embargo, le recomendamos que no coma el primer wafle que prepare con la waflera.
USO DE LA WAFLERA
1. Desbloquee la waflera presionando el botón en la parte posterior de la unidad y gírelo en sentido antihorario
(figura 1). Desbloquee el sujetador del asa.
2. Enchufe el cable en un tomacorriente de pared de 120 V CA. La luz naranja de alimentación se encenderá para
indicar que el aparato está listo para precalentar.
3. La luz indicadora pasará de naranja a blanco cuando la waflera alcance la temperatura adecuada de cocción.
El proceso puede durar aproximadamente 3 a 5 minutos. Una vez calentada, los tiempos serán más breves.
4. Abra la waflera y aplique una capa ligera de aceite vegetal, aceite de oliva o aceite de canola a las placas
de cocción. Agregue 3/4 a 1 taza de masa en el centro de la placa de cocción y esparza la masa de wafle de
manera uniforme sobre la placa inferior para que las áreas con picos de la placa estén cubiertas.
PRECAUCIÓN: NO USE AEROSOLES PARA COCINAR. PUEDEN CAUSAR UNA ACUMULACIÓN EN LAS PLANCHAS
DE COCCIÓN Y AFECTAR EL RENDIMIENTO ANTIADHERENTE DE CERÁMICA DEL PRODUCTO.
5. Cierre la tapa y con el asa, gire las placas de wafle hacia el otro lado (figura 2).
NOTA: No bloquee el asa.
6. Cocine por unos 2.5 minutos o hasta que la luz indicadora se vuelva a tornar blanca. Levante el asa para
abrirla.
NOTA: No abra la waflera por al menos 1 minuto y 30 segundos. Esto puede hacer que wafles poco cocidos se
rompan y pueden ser difíciles de remover de las placas.
7. Si los wafles no están lo suficientemente oscuros, cierre la waflera y siga cociendo. Verifique cada quince
minutos si están listos.
8. Cuando esté satisfecho con los wafles, use un utensilio no metálico para quitarlos de las placas de
calentamiento. Repita con todos los wafles que quiera.
NOTA: Los wafles subsiguientes se cocinan más rápido porque se ha retenido un calor adicional.
9. Después de enfriarse lo suficiente, podrá limpiar las placas de calentamiento.
CONSEJOS PARA OBTENER WAFLES PERFECTAMENTE COCIDOS
1. Agite la masa de wafles solo hasta disolver los grumos más grandes de ingredientes secos. Mezclar de más la
masa de wafles puede hacer que los wafles se endurezcan mucho.
2. La cantidad exacta de masa necesaria para hacer wafles perfectos de tamaño completo depende del tipo y
la consistencia de la masa. Use la misma cuchara o taza de medición cada vez para determinar cuánta masa
necesita para llenar la placa inferior por completo a fin de cubrir los picos de la placa.
3. Al preparar una variedad más suave de wafles, una vez cocinados, asegúrese de cortar los wafles en mitades
o en cuartos y sosténgalos con una espátula por la parte inferior para que sea más sencillo sacarlos de las
placas, ya que los wafles más suaves se pueden romper con facilidad.
4. Cuando prepare lotes grandes para servir de una vez, puede mantener los wafles frescos y crujientes
colocándolos en un horno precalentado a 200 °F. Sáquelos con guantes de cocina cuando los quiera servir.
5. Para evitar que la base de los wafles se humedezca, manténgalos en una bandeja tipo rejilla. Esto mantendrá
los wafles crujientes.
6. Puede recalentar los wafles en la waflera. Precaliente la waflera. Una vez precalentada, coloque los wafles
en la placa inferior para que encaje bien en las ranuras, cierre la waflera y caliente por 1 a 2 minutos; controle
cada 30 segundos para evitar que se quemen.
7. También puede congelar los wafles para comerlos más tarde. Una vez que los wafles recién preparados se
hayan enfriado por completo, guárdelos en un recipiente cubierto o en una bolsa plástica para congelador.

Asegúrese de separar los wafles con una hoja de papel de cera entre cada wafle. Para recalentar los wafles
congelados, colóquelos en una tostadora, un horno, un horno eléctrico precalentado hasta que estén calientes.
LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO
1. Apague la unidad, desenchúfela y deje que se enfríe antes de limpiarla.
2. Puede quitar con facilidad cualquier exceso de aceite o migas sin desmontar el aparato.
NOTA: NUNCA SUMERJA EL APARATO EN AGUA NI LO COLOQUE EN EL LAVAVAJILLAS.
3. Para obtener mejores resultados y preservar la capa antiadherente por más tiempo, use utensilios de nailon,
plástico, madera o caucho.
4. Use un paño suave sobre las placas de calentamiento y, de vez en cuando, un pulidor de metal diseñado para
acero inoxidable en la carcasa exterior. Nunca utilice lana de acero o estropajos de metal abrasivos.
5. Si hay masa endurecida en las placas, vierta un poco de aceite y déjelo asentar por unos 5-7 minutos. Luego
puede limpiarlo con una toalla de papel.
6. No use la waflera reversible para preparar otra cosa que no sean wafles.
Este aparato requiere poco mantenimiento. No contiene piezas que el usuario pueda reparar. No intente repararla
por cuenta propia. Cualquier mantenimiento que requiera desarmarlo, aparte de la limpieza, debe ser realizado por
un técnico calificado en reparación de electrodomésticos.
CONSEJOS DE USO Y CUIDADO DE LA SUPERFICIE ANTIADHERENTE DE CERÁMICA
• Para evitar rayar la superficie antiadherente, no apile objetos sobre las placas de cocción de la waflera.
• Use calor intermedio a bajo para obtener mejores resultados de cocción. Las temperaturas muy altas pueden
causar decoloración y acortar la vida útil de cualquier superficie antiadherente. Si se requieren temperaturas
más altas, precaliente a temperatura intermedia por unos minutos.
• Use solo utensilios de nailon, plástico o madera con cuidado para evitar rayar la superficie antiadherente.
Nunca corte alimentos en la plancha y la placa de la parrilla.
• Quite las manchas pegadas con un estropajo de plástico y detergente lavavajillas suave; NO USE
ESTROPAJOS DE METAL ya que dañarán la superficie antiadherente de las placas de cocción.
PASOS PARA LA ELIMINACIÓN DE LAS MANCHAS Y CUIDADO ADECUADO DE SU
REVESTIMIENTO CERÁMICO ANTIADHERENTE
1. Identifique las areas manchadas en la superficie de coccion y coloque bicarbonato de sodio sobre las
manchas.
2. Humedezca el bicarbonato de sodio agregando unas gotas de agua para formar una pasta.
3. Deje que la pasta repose unos minutos en las manchas (no más de una hora).
4. Frote con un paño húmedo y suave o con un estropajo de plástico, limpie y seque bien.
NOTA: No frote muy fuerte con el estropajo de plástico y NUNCA use un estropajo de metal ya que dañaría el
recubrimiento antiadherente.
5. Repita el ciclo una vez más si es necesario. El rendimiento y la propiedad antiadherente del recubrimiento
cerámico antiadherente no se verán afectados por las manchas.
INSTRUCCIONES DE ALMACENAMIENTO
1. Desenchufe y limpie la unidad.
ADVERTENCIA: Nunca guarde la unidad mientras esté caliente o aún enchufado.
2. Cierre la waflera reversible con el sujetador.
3. Presione y gire a la derecha para bloquear la waflera en posición vertical (figura 3), para desbloquear,
presione y gire el botón a la izquierda.
4. Envuelva el cable alrededor del almacenamiento del cable.

la fecha de compra minorista inicial y no es transferible. Conserve el recibo de compra
original, ya que se exige una prueba de compra para obtener la validación de la garantía.
Las tiendas minoristas no tienen derecho a alterar, modicar ni corregir de ninguna
manera los términos y condiciones de la garantía.
EXCLUSIONES:

cubre actos de la naturaleza, como incendios, inundaciones, huracanes o tornados.
SENSIO Inc. no asumirá responsabilidad por daños incidentales o resultantes ocasionados
por la violación de cualquier garantía expresa o implícita. Salvo en la medida en que lo
prohíban las leyes aplicables, cualquier garantía implícita de comerciabilidad o aptitud
para un propósito particular se limita temporalmente a la duración de la garantía. Algunos
estados, provincias o jurisdicciones no permiten la exclusión ni la limitación de daños
