IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using an electrical appliance, basic
safety precautions should always be taken,
including the following:
1. Read all instructions .
2. Unplug charging cord from outlet when
not in use, before putting on or taking off
parts, and before cleaning.
3. To protect against risk of electrical
shock, do not put the knife handle in
water or other liquid.When using an

properly. Return the appliance to the nearest
Cuisinart Consumer Service Center for
examination, repair, mechanical or electrical
adjustment.
7. The use of attachments not recommended
by Cuisinart may cause fire, electrical shock,
or risk of injury.
8. Do not use outdoors or anywhere the knife
might come into contact with water while in
use.
9. To avoid the possibility of the knife being
accidentally pulled off work area, while
plugged in and charging, which could result
in damage to the knife or personal injury, do
not let charging cord hang over edge of table
or counter while charging.
10. To avoid damage to cord and possible
fire or electrocution hazard, do not let
charging cord contact hot surfaces, including
a stove.
11. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
Always handle blades with hand away from
cutting edge. Always put blades into their
sheaths before inserting in the storage case.
12. When storing in an appliance garage,
always be sure the charging cord is
unplugged from the unit from the electrical
outlet. Not doing so could create a risk of fire,
especially if the appliance touches the walls
of the garage or the door touches the unit as
it closes.

14. Use only with the charger provided with
the appliance. Do not attempt to use this
charger with any other product. Likewise, do

explode in a fire.

USE AND CARE
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Before using the ENERTWIST Cordless Electric Knife for the first time, we recommend that you wipe
the unit with a clean, damp cloth to remove any dirt or dust. Dry it thoroughly with a soft, absorbent
cloth. Handle carefully. Wash the knife blades and detachable handle by hand. Dry thoroughly before
use. Read all instructions completely for detailed operating procedures.
CHARGING YOUR KNIFE BATTERY
The batteries in your ENERTWIST Cordless Electric Knife have not been fully charged. Before the
first use of this appliance, the batteries must be charged until the GREEN battery indicator light
illuminates. With a full charge, your knife will run for approximately 20 minutes, depending on load.
Note: This cordless knife does not operate when plugged into charger.
Note: Do not leave your electric knife uncharged for an extended period of time, as it will affect the life
of the rechargeable battery.
USE
Inserting Blades
Caution: Blades are very sharp; be careful when handling them. Always hold blades with cutting edge
away from you.
1. Remove protective sleeves.
2.To insert the Serrated Blade, first assemble the 2-piece, Serrated Blade by inserting the rivet on one
blade into the keyhole of the other blade. Pinch the plastic parts on the blades, insert it directly into
the slot, and hear a click to indicate the installation is complete.
Removing Blades
One hand press the blade release button ,the other hand pinch the plastic push button on the blades
while remove the blades out of the slot slowly.
Important:Whether inserting or removing the blades, be sure to pinch the plastic parts on the
blades ,otherwise easily injured.

CLEANING AND STORAGE
NOTE:
Always engage lockout after each use or while it is not in use.
Caution:
Engage safety switch to lock position before handling blades.
1. To remove the blades, push the blade release button and grasp the blades with the cutting
edge away from you. Slowly pull blades out from knife housing.
2.To wash, separate the blades by sliding the rivet out of the keyhole. Wash them in hot, soapy
water and dry thoroughly. Return to carrying/storage case.Clean the handle with a slightly damp
cloth and wipe dry.
Caution:
Do not clean handle with blade in place. Do not immerse the appliance in water or
other liquids or place it under running water.

CHARGING
We recommend that you store your appliance in the carrying/storage case when not in use, and
be sure to plug knife into outlet while in the case so it is fully charged and always ready for use.
STEP 1: Press the safety lock button(1) for 1 second, then the three-color light will turn on .
STEP 2: Push the ON/OFF Control Button(2) as you cut,keeping blades parallel to cutting surface.
STEP 3: Close the safety lock button(1).
NOTE: Blade automatically stops when ON/OFF Control Button(2) is released.

TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS
a.Your knife can easily scratch your kitchen bench tops.Always slice your food on a wooden or
plastic cutting board.
b. Don’t force your blades through the food.Let the knife cut gently at its own pace,and avoid sawing
motions
c.To keep your blades sharp ,avoid cutting through hard substances like bone and fruit pits.
d.After cooking your meat,let it sit for at least 10 minutes before you cut it.This gives the juices time
to set and makes the meat easier to cut.
e.You can leave string on your meat,but remove any skewers before cutting .
f.Use a carving fork to steady your meat while cutting .
g.Do not attempt to sharpen your knife’s blades.This is unnecessary and may damage the
appliance.
h.Your knife requires little to no maintenance.Do not attempt to service or repair this appliance
yourself.
