system and offers a detailed explanation of each licence module. The brochure covers all the
available HikCentral licences released in the EU and Ireland, including software, hardware and other
accessories. All the licence materials have been updated and reviewed in August 2022.

Baseline Software
This section is based on HikCentral version 2.4 baseline software.
Software-based licences can be found in the first chapter.
Detailed information on all licences can be found in the rest of this section.

HikCentral Professional Baseline Software
All Software-Based Licences
Software-based licences are essential to activate HikCentral Professional
software.
Any licence quotation that contains the following software-based licences will appear as ‘BASE’
in the licence list after software activation. If a quotation does not contain any of the following
software-based licences, it will appear as ‘BASE-EXP’ in the licence list after software activation.
Each individual HikCentral Professional server allows only one software-
based licence for one module.
One licence quotation that includes a video surveillance system base licence and another
licence quotation that includes an access control base licence are allowed to be activated
on the same server. However, two licence quotations which both include video surveillance
system base licences are NOT allowed to be activated on the same server.

added, either directly or via a recorder.

HikCentral Professional’s software-based licence comes with a free SUP (Software Upgrade
Program) period, which is 24 months if purchased before April 2021, or 36 months if purchased
after April 2021. During this period, it is free to upgrade the software. After the free SUP period,
SUP licences can be applied to extend the software upgrading period.
Licence packages that include multiple HikCentral Professional applications can be applied to
new HikCentral Professional servers. Please notice that the licence package will conflict with
existing VSS and Access Control base licences on an operational server.
