Introduction
The BG-4KBHS is a professional 12G/6G/3G/HD-SDI and HDMI 2.0 bi-directional
converter with integrated audio embedding and extraction, designed for seamless
real-time conversion between HDMI and SDI formats. Supporting full digital
conversion, it ensures zero signal loss for both video and audio, while providing up
to 8 audio channels, including 7.1 and 5.1 surround sound configurations.
Equipped with a low-jitter SDI output and high-quality analog stereo embedder and
extractor, the BG-4KBHS offers versatile integration for both professional SDI
workflows and consumer HDMI devices. With broad support for HD and UHD
formats up to 4K60 and automatic 12G/6G/3G/HD-SDI detection, it provides a
reliable solution for professional video environments that demand high-fidelity signal
conversion and flexible audio management.

Front and Rear Panel
1. Power LED: Indicates device power status.
2. Signal LED: Indicates active video signal detection.
3. Stereo Audio Output: Extracts stereo audio from SDI or HDMI input.
4. SDI IN: Accepts 12G/6G/3G/HD-SDI video input.
5. SDI OUT: Outputs 12G/6G/3G/HD-SDI video.
6. Mode Slide Switch:
a. Right: Convert HDMI → SDI
b. Left: Convert SDI → HDMI
7. Audio/Firmware Slide Switch:
a. Right: F/W update mode
b. Mid: Use HDMI input audio as SDI audio source
c. Left: Use stereo audio input as SDI audio source
8. USB-C Port: For firmware updates.
9. DC Power Input (+5V): Connect to a 5V DC power supply.
10. Stereo Audio Input: Embeds stereo audio into SDI output.

No Power / All LED off
Power supply not connected,
connected fully, or wrong power
supply.
Check if the power supply is
connected correctly and the
output voltage value is within
recommended specifications.
No sound or sound issues
The HDMI connection is faulty,
the audio format is not
supported by the displays, or
the source player is set to
another port for audio output
Check if the HDMI cables are
connected correctly.
Check if the audio format is
supported by the display and
that a user has not changed the
supported audio format on the
player`s audio output. Ensure
output settings from the HDMI
source device as set correctly.
No picture or picture flickers
The HDMI cable may be faulty
or the category cable quality is
faulty.
Check if the HDMI
and category cable connections
are correct and undamaged.
Change to another good
working HDMI cable or category
cable (CAT6 or better cable is
recommended).
