Thank you for showing your condence in us by purchasing the
Behringer VINTAGE DELAY VD400. This ultimate eects pedal is designed
to deliver amazing delay sounds comparable to state-of-the-art studio
processors. Thanks to its parameter controls, you’ll have plenty of cool
sounds at your disposal to handle almost any situation.
The delay eect creates a delay of the input signal with various
repetitions. Dierent tempo settings allow interesting delay eects.
1. Controls
(1) The REPEAT RATE control adjusts the delay time (repetition rate).
(2) The ECHO control adjusts the eect output level.
(3) The INTENSITY control adjusts the number of repetitions.
(4) The ON/BATT LED illuminates when the eect is activated. It also
serves as a battery level indicator.
(5) Use the footswitch to activate/deactivate the eect.
(6) Use this ¼" TS IN connector to plug in the instrument cable.
(7) The ¼" TS OUT connector sends the signal to your amp.
(8) The ¼" TS DIR OUT connector sends the unaected signal to
connect, for example, to a separate amp.
◊ ◊ If you use the OUT connector only, it will send the aected
signal and, when deactivated, the unaected signal. When
using both the OUT and the DIR OUT, the VD400 acts like an
A/B box. This means when activated, the OUT sends only the
echo signal while the DIR OUT carries the dry signal. When
deactivated the OUT is muted while the DIR OUT sends the
unaected signal.
Use the DC IN connection to plug in a 9 V power supply (not included).
The BATTERY COMPARTMENT is located underneath the pedal cover.
To install or replace the 9 V battery (not included), press the hinges with
a ballpoint pen and remove the pedal cover. Be careful not to scratch
the unit.
◊ ◊ The VD400 has no on/o switch. As soon as you insert the
plug into the in connector, the VD400 is on. When not in
use, remove the plug from the in connector. This extends
the life of the battery.
The SERIAL NUMBER is located at the underside.

attachments/accessories. Do not service product yourself. Contact our
qualied servicing personnel for servicing or repairs, especially when

adquirir el VINTAGE DELAY VD400 de Behringer. Este pedal de efectos ha
sido diseñado para producir estupendos efectos de delay comparables
con procesadores de estudio de alta gama. Gracias a sus excepcionales
características tendrás a tu disposición una plétora de sonidos aptos
para cualquier situación.
El efecto de delay crea una copia retardada de la señal original con
varias repeticiones. Tiempos de retardo distintos producen efectos muy
interesantes.
1. Controles
(1) Con el control REPEAT RATE ajustas el tiempo de retardo (tasa
de repetición).
(2) Con ECHO regulas el nivel de salida del efecto.
(3) Con el control INTENSITY regulas el número de repeticiones.
(4) El LED ON/BATT se ilumina al activar el efecto, y también sirve como
indicador de la carga de la batería.
(5) Al presionar el pedal activas/desactivas el efecto.
(6) Entrada jack de 6,3 mm para conectar tu instrumento.
(7) Salida jack de 6,3 mm para enviar la señal al amplicador.
(8) El jack de 6,3 mm DIR OUT te permite enviar la señal sin alterar a,
por ejemplo, un amplicador.
◊ ◊ Al activar el VD400 y utilizar sólo el conector OUT, la señal
se transmite con efecto, mientras que al desactivarlo la
señal se transmite sin efecto. Al utilizar OUT y DIR OUT el
VD400 funciona como un conmutador A/B. Esto signica

1. Commandes et Connexions
(1) Utilise REPEAT RATE pour régler le temps de delay.
(2) Le potentiomètre ECHO détermine le niveau de sortie du signal
d’eet.
(3) La commande INTENSITY dénit le nombre de répétitions.
(4) La LED ON/BATT reste allumée tant que l’eet est actif. Elle sert

(6) Branche le câble de ton instrument dans l’entrée IN sur jack

sauf lorsque l’eet est désactivé auquel cas elle délivre
le signal source. Lorsque tu utilises les deux sorties, le
VD400 se comporte comme un switch A/B. Cela signie que
lorsque l’eet est actif, la sortie OUT délivre uniquement
le signal d’eet pendant que la sortie DIR OUT délivre le
signal original (sans eet). Lorsque l’eet est désactivé,
la sortie OUT ne délivre aucun signal et la sortie DIR OUT
délivre le signal original (sans eet). Lorsque l’eet est
désactivé, la sortie OUT est mutée alors que la sortie DIR
OUT délivre le signal source.
Utilise le connecteur DC IN pour brancher un bloc d’alimentation secteur
9 V (non inclus).
Le COMPARTIMENT PILE est situé sous le capot de la pédale. Pour
installer ou remplacer la pile 9 V (non incluse), appuie sur les axes de la
charnière avec un stylo-bille et retire le capot de la pédale en veillant à
ne pas la rayer.
◊ ◊ Le VD400 ne possède pas de commutateur marche/arrêt.

Parameterkontrolle kannst Du jede Menge coole Sounds kreieren, um

Der Delay-Eekt generiert Wiederholungen des Eingangssignals mit
regelbarer Anzahl. Mit unterschiedlichen Tempoeinstellungen lassen
sich interessante Delay-Eekte erzielen.
1. Bedienungselemente
(1) Der REPEAT RATE-Regler bestimmt die Delay-Zeit
(Geschwindigkeit der Wiederholungen).
(2) Der ECHO-Regler bestimmt die Lautstärke des Eektsignals.
(3) Der INTENSITY-Regler bestimmt die Anzahl der Wiederholungen.
(4) Die ON/BATT-LED leuchtet, sobald der Eekt aktiviert ist.
Zusätzlich kannst Du den Batteriezustand überprüfen.
(5) Der Fußschalter dient zum Aktivieren/Deaktivieren des Eekts.
(6) Die 6,3-mm IN-Monoklinkenbuchse dient zum Anschluss des
Instruments.
(7) Die 6,3-mm OUT-Monoklinkenbuchse leitet das Signal an Deinen
Verstärker weiter.
(8) An der 6,3-mm DIR OUT-Monoklinkenbuchse kann das
Gitarrensignal ohne Eekt z. B. an einen separaten Verstärker
weitergeleitet werden.
◊ ◊ Ist nur die OUT-Buchse belegt, so wird hier das Signal mit
und – wenn deaktiviert – ohne Eekt ausgespielt. Sind
die OUT- und DIR OUT-Buchsen belegt, funktioniert der
VD400 wie eine A/B-Box. Bei aktiviertem Eekt gibt die
OUT-Buchse das Echo-Signal und die DIR OUT-Buchse das
Direktsignal aus. Ist der Eekt deaktiviert, ist die OUT-
Buchse stummgeschaltet und die DIR OUT-Buchse führt
das “trockene” Direktsignal.
Der DC IN-Anschluss rechts am Gerät dient zum Anschluss eines 9 V
Adapters (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten).
Das BATTERIEFACH bendet sich unter dem Fußschalter. Um
die Batterie (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) einzubauen
oder auszutauschen, drücke die Gelenke vorsichtig
zusammen und entferne das Pedal. Achte darauf, das Gerät nicht zu
zerkratzen.
◊ ◊ Der VD400 hat keinen On/O-Schalter. Der VD400 ist
betriebsbereit, sobald ein Kabel in der IN-Buchse steckt.
Ziehe den Stecker aus der IN-Buchse, wenn der VD400
nicht in Gebrauch ist. So verlängerst Du die Lebensdauer
der Batterie.
Die SERIENNUMMER bendet sich auf der Unterseite des Geräts.
2. Sicherheitshinweise

VINTAGE DELAY VD400. Este moderno pedal de efeitos foi concebido
para fornecer sons de retardamento espantosos, comparáveis com
processadores de ponta para estúdio. Graças aos seus comandos de
parâmetros, terá à sua disposição muitos sons cool para utilizar em
quase todas as situações.
O efeito de retardamento cria um atraso no sinal de entrada, com várias
repetições. Diferentes denições de tempo permitem interessantes
efeitos de retardamento.
1. Comandos
(1) O comando REPEAT RATE ajusta o tempo de retardamento (taxa
de repetição).
(2) O comando ECHO ajusta o nível de saída do efeito.
(3) O comando INTENSITY ajusta o número de repetições.
(4) O LED ON/BATT acende-se quando o efeito é activado. Também
serve como um indicador de nível de bateria.
(5) Use o interruptor de pedal para activar/desactivar o efeito.
(6) Use este conector ¼" TS IN para ligar o cabo do instrumento.

Grazie per la ducia dimostrata con l’acquisto del Behringer VINTAGE
DELAY VD400. Questo innovativo pedale eetti è stato concepito per
produrre incredibili suoni delay paragonabili ai migliori processori delle
sale di registrazione. Grazie ai comandi che regolano i parametri, avrete
a disposizione una varietà di fantastici suoni per gestire praticamente
qualsiasi situazione.
L’eetto delay crea un ritardo del segnale di ingresso con varie ripetizioni.
Le diverse impostazioni del tempo consentono di creare interessanti
eetti delay.
1. Comandi
(1) Il comando REPEAT RATE regola il tempo di delay (velocità di

(2) Il comando ECHO regola il livello di uscita dell’eetto.

die vergelijkbaar zijn met geavanceerde studioprocessors. Dankzij de
parametreerbare bedieningselementen beschikt u over een heleboel
coole geluiden waarmee u nagenoeg elke situatie het hoofd kunt

Het vertragingseect creëert een vertraging van het ingangssignaal met
verschillende herhalingen. Verschillende tempo-instellingen maken
interessante vertragingseecten mogelijk.
1. Bedieningselementen
(1) De REPEAT RATE-knop bepaalt de vertragingstijd

◊ ◊ Als u alleen de connector OUT gebruikt, zal deze het
natte signaal, of indien uitgeschakeld, het droge signaal
doorsturen. Als u zowel de OUT als de DIR OUT gebruikt,
doet de VD400 dienst als een A/B-box. Dit betekent dat
na activering de OUT alleen het echosignaal uitzendt
en de DIR OUT het droge signaal doorgeeft, terwijl na
deactivering de OUT wordt gedempt en de DIR OUT het
niet-vervormde signaal uitzendt. Wanneer uitgeschakeld
is de OUT stomgeschakeld, terwijl de DIR OUT het droge
signaal verstuurt.
De DC IN-bus dient voor de aansluiting van een 9 V-voeding (niet
meegeleverd).
Het BATTERIJVAK bevindt zich onder de pedaalafdekking. Om de
9V-batterij (niet meegeleverd) te installeren of vervangen, dient u de
scharnieren in te drukken met een balpen en de pedaalafdekking te
verwijderen. Pas op dat u geen krassen maakt op het apparaat.
◊ ◊ De VD400 heeft geen aan/uit-schakelaar. Als de stekker
in de IN-connector steekt, is de VD400 ingeschakeld. Trek
de stekker uit de IN-connector als u het apparaat niet
gebruikt. De batterij zal daardoor langer meegaan.
Het SERIENUMMER vindt u op de onderzijde.
2. Veiligheidsinstructies
Niet gebruiken in de buurt van water of warmtebronnen. Gebruik
uitsluitend geautoriseerde uitbreidingen/originele accessoires. Probeer
nooit zelf het apparaat te repareren. Neem voor reparaties of onderhoud
contact op met de leverancier, met name wanneer het netsnoer of de
stekker van het netsnoer beschadigd is.

◊ ◊ OUT 端子のみを使用する場合、この端子からはエフェク
トのかかった信号が送信されますが、エフェクターがオ
フ の 場 合 は 、エ フ ェ ク ト の か か っ て い な い ド ラ イ な 信 号
が流 れます。OUT 端子と DIR OUT 端子の両方を使用した
場合、VD400 は A/B ボックスのように機 能します。つま
り、エフェクターがオンになっていると OUT 端子からは
エコー信号が流れ、DIR OUT からはドライ信号が流 れ
ます。エフェクトがオフの 時は 、OUT 端子はミュートされ
ますが、DIR OUT からはドライ信 号が 流され ます。
9 V の電源アダプター（売り）を繋げる場合は、DC IN 端子に接
続しま す。
BATTERY COMPARTMENT (バッテリーコンパートメント) は、ペダル
カバーの下に設けられています。9 V 電 池（ 売 り ）を 使 用 す る 場
合、もしくは取り外す場合は、ボールペンの先端などを使ってシ
ャフト部分を押し、ペダルカバーを外します。本体を傷つけない
ようお気をつけ下さい。
◊ ◊ VD400 にはオン / オフスイッチはついていません。ケー
ブルを IN 端子に接続すると、VD400 は 起 動 し ま す。長 い
間本体を使用しない場合は、電池の消耗を防ぐため、IN
