INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
HOW TO INSTALL YOUR CIGAR HUMIDOR
• This appliance is designed to be free standing only and should not be recessed or
built-in.
• Place your appliance on a floor that is strong enough to support the appliance when
it is fully loaded. To level your appliance, adjust the leveling legs at the bottom of the
appliance.
• Allow 4 in (10 cm) of space between the top, the back and sides of the appliance,
which allows the proper air circulation to cool the compressor and condenser.
• Locate the appliance away from direct sunlight and sources of heat (stove, heater,
radiator, etc.). Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic coating and heat sources may
increase electrical consumption. Extreme cold ambient temperatures may also cause
the unit not to perform properly.
• Avoid locating the appliance in moist areas.
• Plug the unit into an exclusive, properly installed-grounded wall outlet. Do not under
any circumstances cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. Any
questions concerning power and/or grounding should be directed toward a certified
electrician or an authorized Products service center.
• After plugging the appliance into a wall outlet, allow the appliance to run for 2-3
hours before placing any items in the compartment.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
HUMIDITY CONTROL USING BOVEDA® PACKS
The Newair 500 Count Electric Cigar Humidor Powered by Boveda comes with a secure
door seal and an insulated cabinet built to lock in moisture. Because the internal cabinet
is heavily insulated, it is not necessary to season this unit before filling it with your cigar
collection.
Please follow these steps when using the Boveda packs to humidify your cigar humidor:
1. Before filling your cigar humidor and installing the pegs, slide the Boveda Pack
Holders into the bottom of each shelf.
2. Place one 69% Boveda pack (320 gram) inside each of the Boveda Pack
Holders. Boveda is safe to touch cigars. (If your Boveda pack is overwrapped,
remove that clear plastic before using. DO NOT OPEN the brown packet itself.)
3. Replace the Boveda packs in your humidor every 3-6 months.
For more information on how to use and when to reorder your Boveda packs, please
visit the FAQ one-page on the newair.com product listing page.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
It is recommended that you install the Cigar Humidor in a place where the ambient
temperature is near 77°F (25°C). If the ambient temperature is too far above or below
the recommended temperature, the performance of the unit may be affected, and
extreme cold or hot conditions may cause the interior temperature to fluctuate. This
will prevent the optimal range from being reached. In addition, keep in mind that the
temperature may fluctuate depending on whether the interior light is on or off.
Your Cigar Humidor has been equipped with a control panel lock which will lock itself
automatically 20 seconds after the last time a button is pressed.
• Press and hold the button for about 3 seconds to unlock the control panel.
You will hear a "BEEP" sound to alert you that the control is now active.
• Press the (up) button to increase or the (down) button to set the
temperature.
• Press and hold the button for about 2 seconds to switch the temperature
display unit between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
• You can turn the interior light ON or OFF by a lightly press on the button .

www.newair.com 8
• The light will turn off automatically if it remains ON for 10 minutes. You have to
push the button again then the light will turn back on.
Error code
Error code LL appears when:
• The temperature reaches lower than 32°F (0°C). The code "LL" will flash on the
screen and the cooling will stop.
• The temperature probe is short-circuited or disconnected. The screen will show the
set temperature and the compressor will work for 15 minutes and stop for 18
minutes.
• The temperature is higher than 98°F (37°C). The screen will show the set
temperature and the compressor will work for 15 minutes and stop for 18 minutes.
Memory function
The control board is re-energized after each power-off, the temperature setting value,
Fahrenheit/Celsius state will be the same as before the power-off, and the length of
power-off time is not limited.
