--Loop Recording
After inserting the memory card and connecting the
power, the N4 Pro S dash cam will automatically turn
on and enter loop recording. The duration of each
recorded video will be saved based on the loop
recording time you set, saved in the Normal Video
folder.
When the capacity of the Normal Video folder reaches
70% of the total capacity, the new loop recording file
will automatically overwrite the original loop recording
files. After this function is enabled, the video file will
automatically overwrite the loop, so as not to stop
recording during the driving process.

Note:
·
The normal operation of the loop recording function

please format the memory card regularly to avoid
problems such as excessive memory card files and
card aging that affect the normal loop recording.
·
Please check the loop recording video regularly to
avoid the necessary videos being overwritten by loop.

be automatically saved in the Event Video Folder and
the photo will be saved in the photo folder.
Note:
·
The sensitivity of the automatic locking video trigger
is determined by the sensitivity of the collision. The
higher the sensitivity setting, the greater the probability
of being triggered.
·
When the total capacity of the event video files is 30%
of the total capacity of the current memory card, the
new event video files will automatically overwrite the
old event video files.
We recommend checking and saving event video files
regularly to avoid losing them.
·
Lock recording will not trigger in either of the
following situations: Loop recording is off or Time
lapse recording is on. When loop recording is turned
off/time-lapse recording is turned on, only pictures can
be captured when locking the recording.
Parking Mode
When parking, you can set up a variety of different
parking monitoring settings on your own, depending on
the vehicle itself, the parking environment, your own
needs, and other factors.

Please note the following precautions when using the
parking mode:
To ensure that the dash camera can use the
parking mode function normally, please use the
VANTRUE hardwire kit cable or other stable and
continuous power supply for the camera.
It is recommended to use VANTRUE ACC hardwire
kit cable. If you use other brands of ACC hardwire
kit cable, you may not be able to use the ACC
function due to the different location of the ACC
detection PIN pin.
In the hot and sunny environment of summer, we
recommend you to choose the parking mode of
collision detection. When the ambient temperature
in the car reaches 60, we recommend you to turn
off the camera to avoid the camera working
abnormally due to high temperature.
Time-lapse recording and parking mode (including
collision detection, motion detection, low bit rate
recording, low frame rate mode) can only be turned
on one of the two. If one of them is turned on, the
other one will be turned off automatically.
All the files recorded in parking mode will be saved
in the parking video folder, in order to avoid the
parking mode files being overwritten by the loop,
please check them regularly to avoid losing them.
background
- 18 -
The parking mode function will be improved with
the firmware upgrade of the N4 Pro S dash camera.
Please pay attention to the firmware description
announcement on VANTRUE website for specific
changes, or consult with customer service staff.
After the ACC hardwire kit cable is disconnected,
the dash camera enters the parking monitoring
mode immediately.
When the vehicle is stationary for 5 minutes, the
camera will enter the parking monitoring mode
automatically.
Users can choose the appropriate entry mode
according to their own vehicle power supply
situation to ensure the normal operation of the
parking monitoring function.
Parking Mode Introduction
Due to the different ways of power supply to the
camera by the user, the way the car camera enters the
parking monitor mode is also different. At present, it
supports two ways to enter the parking monitoring
mode:
Parking Mode 1: Collision Detection
When the Collision Detection setting is on, the Collision
Detection icon will be displayed in the recording
interface, indicating that the camera is currently using
the Collision Detection mode.
The sensitivity of Collision Detection value can be
selected as 1/2/3/4/5. The higher the sensitivity level,
the easier it is to trigger Event recording. The sensitivity
is highest at 5.

When the G-sensor detects that the vehicle has been
stationary for 5 minutes (entering collision detection
mode), the camera will display the appropriate icon in
the center of the screen and automatically shut down.
After shutting down, if the vehicle vibrates or moves,
the camera will automatically turn on and record a
1-minute video, and then turn off again to ensure that
key images are recorded.
According to different user habits, the collision
detection mode provides two startup modes: quick
start and power saving mode. Users can go to Record
SetupParking Monitor SettingsCollision Detection
in Parking Mode to choose.
Quick start: the device enters the standby mode with
the screen off, and when a collision occurs, the device
will immediately light up the screen to record video, and
save the file and continue to enter the standby mode
after the recording is completed.
Power Saving Mode: the device is completely turned
off, and automatically turns on to record after detecting
a collision, saves the file and turns off the device after
recording is completed, which is more energy-saving.
Note:
If the camera continues to be hit by a collision during
the collision detection recording process, it will exit the
collision detection mode, enter normal recording, and
continue to stand still for 5 minutes before entering
collision detection again.
background
- 20 -
Parking Mode 2: Motion Detection
When the Motion Detection setting is on, the Motion
Detection icon will be displayed in the recording
interface, indicating that the camera is currently using
the Motion Detection mode.
The process of triggering recording: N4 Pro S Dash
Cam supports pre-recording function, which can better
restore the whole process of the event. It adds 10
seconds of recorded footage before the triggering
event to the motion detection video, resulting in a
40-second motion detection recording (10 seconds of
pre-recording + 30 seconds after the triggering
recording).
You can select the detection lens and adjust the area
of motion detection in the parking monitoring settings
to more accurately monitor activities within a specific
range. This function works in conjunction with the
Motion Detection Parking Mode to ensure that the
device automatically triggers recording when it detects
abnormal movement, increasing surveillance
efficiency and reducing ineffective recordings.

Parking Mode 3: Low Bitrate Recording
When low bitrate recording is turned on, the screen
displays the low bitrate icon and records according to
the set resolution (1080P 15FPS or 720P 15FPS).
Parking Mode 4: Low Framerate Recording
When low frame rate recording is turned on, the camera
will record according to the 1FPS/5FPS/10FPS/15FPS
setting selected by the user.
The way to enter the low bitrate recording: after
parking the car and turning off the engine, the device
automatically enters the low bitrate mode, the
resolution of all the cameras are adjusted to the set
value, and the recording is recorded according to the
cycle recording time.

How to enter the low framerate recording mode: After
parking the car and turning off the engine, it will
automatically enter the low frame rate mode, which can
effectively retain the video integrity and save storage
space.
