1. SAFETY
WARNING! DO NOT overload Axle stands beyond rated capacity. Overloading can cause damage to, or failure of, the axle
stands. Position load on centre of crutch/saddle only. Always use stands in pairs on hard level surface capable of sustaining
the load. Use of stands on other than hard level surfaces can result in load instability and possible loss of load. DO NOT
use on tarmacadam. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to axle stands, loss of load resulting in
property damage, serious personal injury or loss of life.
▲ DANGER! Great care must be taken to ensure you lower the vehicle (or other load) slowly and carefully onto the centres of
the crutch/saddle of the axle stands.
9 Useonlyasspeciedbythemanufacturer.
9 Ensuretheloaddoesnotexceedthemaximumcapacityasmarkedontheaxlestand,perpair.
9 Usenomorethanasinglepairofstandseitheronthefront,rearoronesideofthevehicle.Useinpairs.
9 Noalterationsormodicationsshallbemadetothisproduct.
9 Useonahard,levelsurface,e.g.concrete.Donotuseonunevengroundortarmacadam.
9 Securelychockwheelsincontactwiththeground.Beforejackingandplacingthestands,applyvehiclehandbrake,andplaceingear.
(Forautomaticsselectthe‘Park’mode).
9 Makesurethateachstandissecurelylocatedunderastrongpointonthevehicle;consultthevehiclemanufacturer’s
handbookforguidance.Ensurethatheightadjustlockingmechanismisfullylocatedbeforeapplyinganyloadtothe
axlestand.
9 Ensurethattheloadislocatedcentrallyonthesaddle,andthattheweightisdirectedthroughtheverticalaxisofthe
stand.
9 Exerciseextracarewhenusingwithathreewheeledvehicleoratrailer.Refertovehiclemanufacturer’sinstructions.
9 Oncevehicleissupported,ensurethatthevehicleandstandsarestablebeforestartingwork.Ensurethatitisnot
possibleforthevehicletomovebeforecommencinganywork.
9 Inspectstandsbeforeeachuse.
8 DO NOTuseiftheyshowsignsofdamage.
8 DO NOTuseifitissuspectedthattheyhavebeenoverloaded.
9 Beforecommencinganyworkorgoingbeneaththevehicle,undertakeariskassessment.Ensurethataresponsiblepersonisaware
oftheworkabouttobeundertaken.
9 Replaceanylabelsontheaxlestandshouldtheybecomeunreadable.Thisappliesinparticulartoanywarningoroperationinstruction
labels.Ifreplacementlabelsarerequired,contactyourSealeystockist.

8 DO NOTpushortwistthevehicle/loadwhilstitissupportedonstands.
8 DO NOTmixcomponentsbetweenstands.Useonlyassupplied.
8 DO NOTallowchildrenoranimalsinthevicinityofavehiclesupportedonaxlestands.
8 DO NOTleaveavehicleonaxlestandsinanareathatcouldbeconsideredahazardtoothersorproperty.
9 Follow steps 1, 2 and 3 to correctly place vehicle/load onto axle stands.

4. OPERATION
4.1. Familiariseyourselfwiththeproduct.Checkthatthestandsareingoodconditionandthatnodamagehasbeensustainedduring
transit.
4.2. Ensurethemaximumloaddoesnotexceed40tonneperpairofaxlestands,(20tonneforeachstand).
4.3. Refertovehiclemanufacturer’sinstructionsforrecommendedsupportpoints.Checkthatthepointsareingoodcondition.
4.4. Ensurethevehiclehasbeenplacedingearandthatthehandbrakehasbeenapplied.(Forautomaticsselectthe‘Park’mode).
4.5. Adjustheightofstandtocorrespondwiththeraisedvehicle.
4.6. Checkthatthelockingpin(g1-3)iscorrectlypushedallthewaythroughthecentrecolumn(g1-1)andoutoftheotherside,then
positionstandsundervehicleatpointsrecommendedbyvehiclemanufacturer.
4.7. Carefullyandslowlylowertheloadontostands.Ensuretheloadbearingpointssitinthecenterofthestandsaddleandcheckthat
thestandsarestableandnotleaning.Alsoensurethattherearenoobjectsorpersonsthatcouldimpedethesafeloweringofthevehicle
ontothestands.
4.8. Toremovestands,jackvehicleslightlysothatstandcanberemoved.
4.9. Afteruse,holdthecentrecolumn(g1-1)rmlywhenremovingthelockingpin(g1-3).Failuretodosowillallowthecentercolumn
tofallfreelythroughthemaincentertube(g1-2)withtheriskofpersonalinjury.
4.10. Whennotinuseplacethelockingpin(g1-3)intoit’scircularholder(g2-1)andleavethecentrecolumn(g1-1)init’slowest
positiontominimisecorrosion.
WARNING!Ensureyoufollowallinstructionscarefully.Failuretonotethesewarningsmaycausedamage,seriousinjuryorlossoflife.
5. MAINTENANCE
5.1. Beforeeachusechecktoensurestandsandstandweldsarenotcracked,andthattherearenomissingand/ordamagedparts.
WARNING!Anystandthatappearstobedamagedinanywaymustberemovedfromserviceimmediately.
5.1.1. Ensurethelockingpinsareingoodorderandcondition.
5.1.2. Duetothepotentialhazardsassociatedwiththesestands,donotmisuse,ormakeanymodicationtothestandsorcomponents.
5.1.3. Itistheresponsibilityofthestandsownertoensuretheoperatorhasreadtheseinstructions,andthattheoperatorisfamiliarwith
thestandsuseandlimitations.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycleunwantedmaterialsinsteadofdisposingofthemaswaste.Alltools,accessoriesandpackagingshouldbesorted,takento
arecyclingcentreanddisposedofinamannerwhichiscompatiblewiththeenvironment.Whentheproductbecomescompletely
unserviceableandrequiresdisposal,drainanyfluids(ifapplicable)intoapprovedcontainersanddisposeoftheproductandfluids
accordingtolocalregulations.
