SmallObjectIgnoreFilter

Thesmallobjectlterisusedtoavoiddetectingobjectsthataretoosmall.Forexample,ifonlymovingcarsshouldbedetected,the

smallobjectltercanbeusedtoavoiddetectingpeopleandanimals.

Thesmallobjectlterisusedtoavoidtrackingobjectsthataretoosmall.Forexample,ifonlymovingcarsshouldbetracked,the

Ifusingthesmallobjectlter,takeintoconsiderationthatanobjectfarfromthecameraappearssmallerthananobjectclosetothe

theyarelargerthantheltersize.

Ifusingthesmallobjectlter,takeintoconsiderationthatanobjectfarfromthecameraappearssmallerthananobjectclosetothe

camera.Ifthelterissettoignoreobjectsthesizeofaperson,peoplethatareclosetobecameracanstillbetrackedbecause

theyarelargerthantheltersize.

Toenablethelter:

1.SelecttheSmallobjectsoption.

2.Clickonthe

icontoshowtheltersizeintheimage.

3.Usethemousetoadjusttheltersize.Startwithasmallsize.Movingobjectsthattinsidetherectanglewillbeignored.

Thelterdisplayedintheimagecanbemovedtomakeiteasiertocomparetheltersizewiththesizeofobjects

intheimage.Notethatthelterwillbeappliedtoallobjectsintheimage,alsotoobjectsthatarenotlocatedat

thepositionofthedisplayedlter.

4.ClickSavetoapplythelter.

5.Usevisualconrmationtoverifythesettings.

6.Iftheresultisnotsatisfactory,increasetheltersizeinsmallsteps.

Theltersizecanalsobesetbyenteringthewidthandheightintheelds.Thewidthandheightarethemaximumwidthand

maximumheightoftheobjectstoignoreandaremeasuredinpercentoftheimagewidthandheight.Valuesbetween5and100

canbeused.
