1. SAFETY
8 DO NOT enter the danger zone (the area of the winch drum, the fairlead (if fitted), the pulley block (if used) the hook and the motor).
8 DO NOT approach or span the wire rope whilst the winch or puller is under load.
8 DO NOT operate a winch or puller when under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
WARNING! Turn off the power switch on the side of the hand held control unit, before working in or around the fairlead or wire rope drum
(the danger zone).
WARNING! Never tuck the hand held control unit under the arm, or allow anyone else to hold it, so as to avoid it being accidentally
activated.
9 Wear eye protection, insulated work clothes, non-slip shoes, keep hair tied up and wear thick leather gloves. Remove all jewellery.
9 Inspect winch or puller, wire rope, hooks and other accessories frequently. A mashed, pinched, kinked or frayed wire rope with broken
strands should be replaced at once, because a damaged rope has reduced load carrying capability.
NOTE: The safety precautions and instructions discussed in this manual can't cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur.
