This is the odor of activated
charcoal, and is not harmful. This
is similar to the odor you may
experience in a brand new car. It
will go away within a day after use.
Is the product used in a
place with a lot of smoke
or odors?

If the air purier is operated after an
air freshener, diffuser, or scented
candle has been used, or interior
work or wallpaper replacement
have occurred, the lter may absorb
and emit the odor. Ventilate the
room rst before using the product.
Does the lter have a bad
smell?
