1. SAFETY
1.1. ELECTRICAL SAFETY
WARNING! It is the user’s responsibility to check the following:
Check all electrical equipment and appliances to ensure that they are safe before using. Inspect power supply leads, plugs and
all electrical connections for wear and damage. Sealey recommend that an RCD (Residual Current Device) is used with
all electrical products. You may obtain an RCD by contacting your local Sealey Stockist.
If the product is used in the course of business duties, it must be maintained in a safe condition and routinely PAT (Portable
Appliance Test) tested.
Electrical safety information, it is important that the following information is read and understood.
1.1.1. Ensure that the insulation on all cables and on the appliance is safe before connecting it to the power supply.
1.1.2. Regularly inspect power supply cables and plugs for wear or damage and check all connections to ensure that they are secure.
1.1.3. Important: Ensure that the voltage rating on the appliance suits the power supply to be used and that the plug is fi tted with the
correct fuse - see fuse rating in these instructions.
DO NOT pull or carry the appliance by the power cable.
DO NOT pull the plug from the socket by the cable. Remove the plug from the socket by maintaining a fi rm grip on the plug.
DO NOT use worn or damaged cables, plugs or connectors. Ensure that any faulty item is repaired or replaced immediately by a
qualifi ed electrician.
1.1.4. This product is fi tted with a BS1363/A 13 Amp 3 pin plug.
If the cable or plug is damaged during use, switch the electricity supply and remove from use.
Replace a damaged plug with a BS1363/A 13 Amp 3 pin plug. If in doubt contact a qualifi ed electrician.
Class II products are wired with live (brown) and neutral (blue) only, and are marked with the
Class II symbol;
A) Connect the BROWN live wire to the live terminal ‘L’.
B) Connect the BLUE neutral wire to the neutral terminal ‘N’.
C) After wiring, check that there are no bare wires and ensure that all wires have been correctly
connected.
Ensure that the cable outer sheath extends inside the cable restraint and that the restraint is tight.
DO NOT connect either wire to the earth terminal.
Sealey recommend that repairs are carried out by a qualifi ed electrician.
1.2. GENERAL SAFETY
1.3. Disconnect the fan from the mains power when not in use and before servicing or performing any maintenance.
Use the fan in dry areas only.
DO NOT use in wet or areas with high condensation such as showers, pools etc.
DO NOT immerse the fan in water or any other liquid.
WARNING! If the fan falls into water or any other liquid, immediately disconnect from the mains power supply. DO NOT touch the fan
until the mains power supply has been disconnected.
Always disconnect the fan from the power supply when moving it from one location to another.
Ensure the fan is stood on a level surface.
Before use ensure that there is nothing nearby that will be damaged or displaced by the stream of air.
Keep the fan clean and maintained in good condition. For motor service contact an authorised Sealeys service agent.
Use recommended parts only. Unapproved parts may be dangerous, and will invalidate your warranty.
DO NOT operate the fan where there are explosive or flammable gases, fumes or other hazardous substances.
DO NOT place the fan near an open flame, cooking or other heating appliances.
DO NOT stand the fan on the power cable.
DO NOT insert any objects through the fan guard.
DO NOT cover the fan when in use.
DO NOT run the power cord under carpeting.
DO NOT route the power cord under furniture or appliances.
Avoid trip hazards by arranging the power cord away from traffic areas.
DO NOT allow children to operate the fan.
DO NOT stand the fan where it may be knocked over or off a surface.
DO NOT use the fan outdoors, for household use only.

4. OPERATION
NOTE: Ensure all Safety Instructions in Section 1 are read and fully understood and carried out before use and save the
instructions and warning for future reference.
4.1. FAN FUNCTION
4.1.1. To operate the fan, turn the control dial, from the 0 position, counterclockwise to the desired speed (fi g 1).
0 = Off
2 = High speed
1 = Low speed
4.2. OSCILLATION FUNCTION
4.2.1. To operate the oscillation function, turn the control dial, from the 0 position, clockwise to the desired oscillation speed (fi g 1).
0 = Off
1 = Low speed with oscillation
2 = High speed with oscillation
5. MAINTENANCE
WARNING! Ensure that the fan is turned off and disconnected from the mains power supply before attempting any of the following.
5.1. Should the motor, switch or the power lead require service or maintenance contact your local Sealey stockist.
5.2. When not in use store the fan in it’s original packaging in a safe, dry, dust free childproof location.
5.3. CLEANING
5.3.1. Use a soft damp cloth to clean the fan.
5.3.2. Clean the inlet/outlet ribs with a vacuum cleaner or similar.
DO NOT disassemble for cleaning.
DO NOT immerse the fan in water and never allow any water to drip into the motor housing.
DO NOT use solvents, petroleum, paint thinner or other chemicals to clean the fan.
