Belt Replacement

Belt Removal Preparation

 Remove the chute crank rod from the chute crank assembly by



3. Remove the plastic belt cover on the front of the engine by

removing the three self-tapping screws. See Figure 7-2.

 Loosen the bolt shown in Figure 7-3 securing the belt keeper

bracket and remove the other bolt. Push the belt keeper

bracket up off the engine pulley. See Figure 7-3.

Auger Belt Replacement

To remove and replace your snow thrower’s auger belt, proceed

as follows:

 Remove the bow tie clip and flat washer from the ferrule

in order to disconnect the auger idler rod from the brake



NOTE: Make sure to maintain the location of the ferrule on

the idler rod.

2. Slip the auger control belt (the front belt) off the engine

pulley.
