liable to get hot during use. Always use the handle.
Oven gloves should be used whilst using the health grill.

Description of Parts
Before the first time you use your Grill
Remove all packing materials including in between the plates inside the grill and
dispose of responsibly.
Before using the grill for the first time, open the grill and wipe over both cooking
plates using a soft, clean damp cloth and dry with a cloth or paper towel.
For best results, lightly coat the cooking plates with a little cooking oil or cooking
oil spray.
If using your grill for the very first time it may emit a little smoke and odour
which will soon pass. This is the protective coating applied to elements
during transit and does not affect your appliance.
DO NOT use metal cooking tools with this appliance as damage may occur to
the non-stick coating. Only use wooden or plastic (nylon) tools.

Instructions for use
Place the grill on a solid, level, non-flammable surface away from wall cupboards,
curtains, etc.
1. Insert the mains plug (with dry
hands) into the mains socket.
2. The red Power Indicator (5) will
illuminate and the grill will begin
to heat.
3. Once the plates are at the
cooking temperature, the red
Power Indicator (5) and the
green Ready Indicator (4) will
both illuminated.
4. The grill is now ready to cook.
Using oven gloves, raise the lid by
the Handle (2) until it is in the
upright position. Place the food
to be cooked on the bottom
cooking plate.
5. Lower the top plate down using
the handle onto the food to cook.
Once the food has cooked, raise
the top plate using the handle
and remove the cooked food.

Cooking times will vary according to food types and personal taste.
The lid adjusts and allows for the height of the food placed in the grill as it
has a floating lid and so maintains even contact with the food for best results.
During cooking, the green Ready Indicator (4) will cycle on and off to show
that the temperature is being maintained at the correct cooking
temperature.
Using Your Health Grill as an open Grill
Place the grill on a solid, level, non-flammable surface away from wall
cupboards, curtains, etc.
Ensure there is ample room for the grill to fully open out.
1. Press and hold the 180° Catch
button (7) then lift open the grill
all the way by the Handle (2) until
it lies flat on the work surface.
2. When the grill is ready to cook,
place the food to be cooked on
both cooking plates.
3. Once the food has cooked, remove
the food using wooden or plastic
cooking utensils to prevent
damage to the non-stick surfaces.

Cleaning your Panini Grill
Always unplug the grill from the mains power supply before cleaning.
Allow the unit to cool before cleaning.
Do not clean any part of your panini grill in a dishwasher.
Do not submerge any part of the main body of the grill or mains cable in water
or any other liquids.
Wipe any excess oil from the cooking plates with kitchen roll or similar.
Wipe clean the outside of the main body and the cooking plates with a soft
damp cloth.
Never clean any part of the panini grill with harsh or abrasive cleaners.
Storing your Panini Grill
After cleaning and during storage, carefully close the grill plates and push the
Handle Lock closed.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead
and should the fuse needed replacing, you must use an ASTA approved one
(conforming to BS 1362 of the same rating). Never use a plug with the fuse
cover missing. If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
If you need to remove the plug -DISCONNECT FROM THE MAINS - and then cut
it off the mains lead and immediately dispose of it safely. Never attempt to
reuse the plug or insert it into a socket outlet as there is a danger of electric
shock.
