ThePrivacyMaskList(Video&Audio>PrivacyMask)showsallthemasksthatarecurrentlyconguredintheAxisproductand

indicatesiftheyareenabled.

Youcanaddanewmask,re-sizethemaskwiththemouse,chooseacolorforthemask,andgivethemaskaname.

SetUpAudio

Tochangetheproduct’saudiosettings,gotoVideo&Audio>AudioSettings.

Eachstreamproleisaseparatevideostream.Toincludetheaudiostreaminallstreamproles,gototheaudiotabineachstream

prolesettingspageandenableaudio.Formoreinformation,seeStreamProlesonpage20.

AudioModes

TheAxisproductsupportsthefollowingaudiomodes:

•Fullduplex–Simultaneoustwo-wayaudioallowingtheAxisproducttotransmitandreceiveaudioatthesametime.

Thereisnoechocancellation;iffeedbackloopsappear,trymovingthemicrophoneorthespeaker.

•Half-duplex–AudiocanbetransmittedtoandfromtheAxisproductbutonlyinonedirectionatatime.Totransmit

audiousingtheLiveViewpage,usetheTalkandListenbuttons,seeAMCAudioControlsonpage14.

•Simplex–NetworkCameraspeakeronly-AudioistransmittedfromaclienttotheAxisproductandcanbeplayedby

aspeakerconnectedtotheproduct.TotransmitaudiousingtheLiveViewpage,theTalkandMicrophoneonbuttons

mustbothbeactive,seeAMCAudioControlsonpage14.

•Simplex–NetworkCameramicrophoneonly-Audiocapturedbytheproductmicrophoneistransmittedfromthe

Axisproducttooneormoreclients.

Tosettheaudiomode,gotoVideo&Audio>AudioSettingsandselectthedesiredmodefromtheAudiomodedrop-downlist.

AnexternalmicrophoneoralinesourcecanbeconnectedtotheAudio-inconnector.ConguretheaudioinputsettingsunderVideo

SelecttheYesoptioniftheLineinputorexternalmicrophoneisBalanced.

TheMicrophonepoweroptionisavailableforexternalmicrophones.5VDCpoweror12Vphantompowerareavailabledepending

onifthemicrophoneisunbalancedorbalanced.

Microphonepowershouldonlybeusedwithmicrophonesthathavenobattery.Thissettingshouldnotbeenabledwhenusinga

dynamicorbatterypoweredmicrophone.
