ThebitratecanbesetasVariablebitrate(VBR)orMaximumbitrate(MBR).VBRadjuststhebitrateaccordingtotheimage

complexity,usingupmorebandwidthforincreasedactivityintheimage,andlessforlowerimageactivity.Whentheactivityin

thesceneincreases,thebitratewouldusuallyincreaseaswell.Ifthereisasurplusinbandwidth,thismaynotbeanissueand

selectingVariablebitrate(VBR)willbesufcient.Butifbandwidthislimited,itisrecommendedtocontrolthebitratebyselecting

Maximumbitrate(MBR).Whentheactivityinthesceneincreases,VBRadjuststhebitrateaccordingtothecomplexity,usingup

morebandwidthforincreasedactivityinthescene,andlessforlowersceneactivity.MBRallowsyoutosetatargetbitratethat

limitsthebandwidthconsumption.

TheMBRtargetbitrateworksliketheceilingofatent.Itlimitsthebitrate,whilemaintainingsomeexibility.Thebitrate

maybounceupanddownwithinthesettargetbutwhenitnearsthesettargetvalue,thelimitationkicksin.However,because

MBRwillalwaysprioritizeacontinuousvideostream,itallowstemporaryovershootsfromthetargetbitrate.Becausesettinga

targetvaluepreventsthebitratefromincreasing,framerateandimagequalityareaffectednegatively.Topartlycompensatefor

Important

Theautofocusbehaviorisaffectedbyfactorssuchaslightconditions,contrastsinthescene,andobjectsmovinginandout.In

theseconditionsorscenes,amanualfocuscouldbepreferabletoenhanceperformanceandallowthecameratofocusfaster.

Autofocusenabled-Autofocusenablesthecameratofocusalthoughthedistancetodifferentobjectsofinterestisconstantly

changing.Wheneverthecamera’span/tilt/zoompositionischanged,theautofocusperformsasearchtondtheidealfocuspoint.

Automaticfocusingisenabledbydefault.Ifthefocuspositionischangedmanuallyusingthefocusbar,autofocuswillbedisabled

Theswayingobjectlterisusedtoavoiddetectingobjectsthatonlymoveashortdistance,forexamplemovingtrees,agsandtheir

shadows.Usethelterifsuchobjectscausealotoffalsedetections.Iftheswayingobjectsinthescenearelarge,forexamplelarge

pondsorlargetrees,useexcludeareasinsteadofthelter.Thelterwillbeappliedtoallmovingobjectsinsceneand,ifsetto

avaluetoolarge,importantobjectsmightnotbedetected.

Whentheswayingobjectlterisenabledandtheapplicationndsamovingobject,theobjectwillnotbereportedasdetected(red

polygoninvisualconrmation)untilithastravelledadistancelargerthanthesetltersize.Thealarmsentbytheapplicationwillbe

sentwhentheobjectisdetected.Ifthealarmisusedtostartarecording,congurethepre-triggertimesothattherecordingalso

Whentheshort-livedobjectlterisenabledandtheapplicationndsamovingobject,theobjectwillnotbereportedasdetected

Ifusingthesmallobjectlter,takeintoconsiderationthatanobjectfarfromthecameraappearssmallerthananobjectclosetothe

camera.Ifthelterissettoignoreobjectsthesizeofaperson,peoplethatareclosetobecameracanstillbedetectedbecause

theyarelargerthantheltersize.

Toenablethelter:

1.SelecttheSmallobjectsoption.

2.Clickonthe
