Ifthereisnovideoanalyticsdetection,thecamerawillshowtheprojectionoftheradardetection
intheimage,andthatisnotasaccurateasavideoanalyticsbox.Iftheboxistoohighorlow,
makesurethattheinstallationheightissetcorrectly.Itcouldalsobeduetoelevationdifferences
inthescene,likeaslopingroad,ahill,oradepression.
Theboundingboxshiftits
positionwhentrackingan
object
Whenbothradarandcameraanalyticsdetectthesameobject,orifonlythecameraanalyticsdetect
andobject,theboundingboxwillbetightlydrawnaroundtheobjectusingthecamerainformation.
Ifthevideodetectionislost,theboundingboxwillbedrawnatthepositionoftheradarprojection,
whichislessaccurate.Oncethevideodetectionispickedupagain,theboundingboxwillbe
drawninthecorrectpositionagain.

Thereareseveralfactorsthataffectthedetectiondistance:
•Checkthatthecorrectheightisenteredinthesettings.
•Dependingontheapproachingangleoftheobjecttowardstheinstallationpoint,the

sensitivityislowerfromaradarperspective.ConsideraimingtheQ1656-DLEtowards
wheretheintruderisexpectedtogetthefurthestdistance.

•Makesurethatthesceneiswelllittomaximizedetectionprobabilityofvideoanalytics
•SetthesensitivitytoLowinAXISObjectAnalytics.Thisrequiresthatvideoandradar
analyticsagreebeforetriggeringanalarm.
•Useexcludeareasintheradartomaskknownsourcesoffalsedetections,suchas
swayingvegetation,andbuildings.
•Conguretheradartouselowsensitivity.
•UseexcludeareasinAXISObjectAnalytics
•Keepthegrassshort.
RadarinterferenceThedeviceusesoneoftworadarchannels.Withineachchannel,uptofourradarscannegotiate
howtobestusethatfrequency.Sometimesyoumayseeawarningmessageaboutinterference
fromthecamera,despitethisfunctionality.Youcanthenmanuallyselectachannelforeachdevice.
Devicesthatarephysicallyclosetoeachothershouldbesettothesamechannel.Thismakesit
easierforthedevicestoavoidinterference.
