General power tool safety warnings
WARNING: Read all safety warnings
and all instructions. Failure to follow the
warnings and instructions may result in
electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Note: Save all warnings and instructions for future
reference. The term "power tool" in the warnings refers
to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-
operated (cordless) power tool.
• Avoid dangerous environments. Do not use the
appliance in damp or wet locations.
• Do not use in rain.
• Keep children away. All people and pets should be
kept at a distance from the work area.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewelry. They can be caught in moving parts. Wear
protective clothing. The use of work gloves, long
pants, a long sleeved shirt and safety footwear
is recommended when working outdoors. Wear
protective hair covering to contain long hair.
• Use safety glasses. Always use a face or dust mask
if the area in which you are working is dusty.
• Use the right appliance. Do not use the appliance for
any job except that for which it is intended.
• Do not force the appliance. It will do the job better
and with less likelihood of a risk of injury at the rate
for which it was designed.
• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance
at all times.
• Stay alert. Use common sense. Do not operate the
appliance when you are tired or under the influence
of drugs, alcohol or medication.
• Store an idle appliance indoors. When not in use, the
appliance should be stored indoors in a dry place out
of reach of children.
