the door open. Introduction of fresh air at self-clean

a deep fry thermometer whenever possible to monitor

oil when shallow pan-frying and avoid cooking frozen
foods with excessive amounts of ice.

element. The use of undersized cookware will expose
a portion of the surface unit to direct contact and may
result in ignition of clothing. Proper relationship of

flammable materials and spillage, the cookware
handles should be turned toward the center of the
cooktop without extending over nearby surface units.

service; others may break because of the sudden
change in temperature.

instruments, rings or other jewelry, and rivets on
clothing.

cleaning pad to clean the cooktop. Wait until the
cooktop cools and the indicator light goes out before
cleaning. A wet sponge or cloth on a hot surface can
cause steam burns. Some cleaners can produce
noxious fumes if applied to a hot surface. Read and
follow all instructions and warnings on the cleaning
cream label. NOTE: Sugary spills are an exception.
They should be scraped off while still hot using an
oven mitt and a scraper. See the Cleaning the Glass
