Considerations

Beforeusingtheapplication,considerthefollowing:

•Toavoidfalsetriggers,trydifferentgainandthresholdsettingstooptimizetheperformanceforyourenvironment.

•Adjusttheaudioinputgaintoalevelwherethebackgroundnoisecoversapproximately30-50%oftheapplication’saudio

levelgraph.ToaccesstheInputgainsetting,clicktheAudioSettingslinkontheapplicationpage.

Howtosetthedetectionthresholdandduration

Note

TodisabledetectionduringPTZoperation,selectDetectionautomaticallydisabledduringPTZmovement.

1.Tosetthedetectionthresholdtoalevelwherethegraylineisjustabovethebackgroundnoiselevel,enteravalue

ormovethesliderforThreshold.

2.Tosetthetimerequiredfortheaudiovolumetobeabovethedetectionthresholdbeforethetriggerisactivated,entera

valueormovethesliderforAboveThreshold(s).

3.Tosetthetimerequiredfortheaudiovolumetobebelowthedetectionthresholdbeforethetriggerisdeactivated,

enteravalueormovethesliderforBelowThreshold(s).

4.ClickSave.

Considerations

backgroundsoundlevelandthescreammustbeatleast15-20dBfortheapplicationtofunctioneffectively.Consider

theproximitytotheexpectedsoundsource,thebackgroundnoiselevelandtheaudioinputgainlevelwheninstalling

theproduct.

•Adjusttheaudioinputgaintoalevelwherethebackgroundnoisecoversapproximately30-50%oftheapplication’saudio

levelgraph.ToaccesstheInputgainsetting,clicktheAudioSettingslinkontheapplicationpage.

•Iftheintervalbetweenscreamsislessthan3seconds,theapplicationregardsitasonescream.
