Note: The following instructions assume that two network devices are
currently connected together.
Single Device Protection:
1. Disconnect the installed patch cable from the device you wish
to protect and attach it to the “Cable End” of the In-Line 1G
Network Surge Protector.
2. With a user-supplied Cat5/5e/6/6a/8 patch cable, connect the
device to be protected to the “Equipment End” of the In-Line
1G Network Surge Protector.
Note: For best protection performance, the patch cable between the
“Equipment End” on the B110-SP-POE-1 and the equipment to be
protected should not exceed 330 ft. (100 m). Eaton’s N261-Series Cat6a
Snagless Patch Cables are recommended.
3. Connect the ground wire to the In-Line 1G Network Surge
Protector and then to earth ground.

• Compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA) for GSA
(General Services Administration) Schedule and other federal

Multiple Device Protection:
Note: The maximum distance between any two In-Line 1G Network Surge
Protectors is 240 ft. (73 m).
1. Disconnect the installed patch cables from both of the devices
you wish to protect.
2. Connect a B110-SP-POE-1 to each end of the previously
uninstalled patch cable, ensuring both ends of the patch cable
are connected to the “Cable End.”
3. With user-supplied Cat5/5e/6/6a/8 patch cables, connect the
“Equipment End” of each Surge Protector to the network devices
you wish to protect.
Note: For best protection performance, the Cat5/5e/6/6a/8 patch cable
between the “Equipment End” of the B110-SP-POE-1 and the network
equipment to be protected should not exceed 240 ft. (73 m). Eaton’s
N261-Series Cat6a Snagless Patch Cables are recommended.
4. Connect the ground wire to each In-Line 1G Network Surge
Protector and then to earth ground.

Nota: Las siguientes instrucciones asumen que dos dispositivos de red

Protección de Un Solo Dispositivo:
1. Desconecte el cable de conexión instalado del dispositivo que
desea proteger y conéctelo al "Extremo del Cable" del Protector
de Sobretensión en Líneas de Red de 1G.
2. Con un cable de conexión Cat5/5e/6/6a/8suministrado por el
usuario, conecte el dispositivo que desea proteger al "Extremo
del Equipo" del Protector de Sobretensión en Líneas de Red de
1G.
Nota: Para obtener el mejor rendimiento de protección, el cable de
conexión entre el "Extremo del Equipo" en el B110-SP-POE-1 y el equipo
a proteger no debe exceder los 100 m [330 pies]. Se recomiendan los
cables de conexión sin enganche Cat6a de la serie N261 de Eaton.

Protección de Múltiples Dispositivos:
Nota: La distancia máxima entre cualquier par de Protectores de
Sobretensiones en Líneas de Red de 1 G es de 73 m [240 pies].
1. Desconecte los cables de conexión instalados de los dos
dispositivos que desea proteger.
2. Conecte un B110-SP-POE-1 a cada extremo del cable de
conexión desinstalado anteriormente, asegurándose de que
ambos extremos del cable de conexión están conectados al
"Extremo del Cable".
3. Con los cables de conexión Cat5/5e/6/6a/8 suministrados por el

Protection de multiples appareils:

Hinweis: Die folgenden Anleitung setzt voraus, dass derzeit zwei
Netzwerkgeräte miteinander verbunden sind.
Schutz für ein einzelnes Gerät:
1. Trennen Sie das installierte Patch-Kabel von dem zu
schützenden Gerät und verbinden Sie es mit dem „Kabelende”
des In-Line 1G Netzwerk-Überspannungsschutzes.
2. Schließen Sie das zu schützende Gerät mit einem vom
Benutzer bereitgestellten Cat5/5e/6/6a/8-Patch-Kabel an das
„Geräteende” des In-Line 1G Netzwerk-Überspannungsschutzes
an.
Hinweis: Für eine optimale Schutzleistung sollte das Patch-Kabel
zwischen dem „Geräteende” am B110-SP-POE-1 und dem zu
schützenden Gerät nicht länger als 100m (330ft.) sein. Empfohlen
werden Cat6a-Snagless Patchkabel der Serie N261 von Eaton.
3. Schließen Sie das Erdungskabel an den In-Line 1G-Netzwerk-
Überspannungsschutz und dann an den Masseanschluss an.

dem Gerät von bis zu 100m (330ft.)

Schutz mehrerer Geräte:
Hinweis: Die maximale Entfernung zwischen zwei In-Line 1G-Netzwerk-
Überspannungsschutzgeräten beträgt 73m (240ft.).
1. Trennen Sie die installierten Patchkabel von den beiden zu
schützenden Geräten.
2. Schließen Sie einen B110-SP-POE-1 an jedes Ende des zuvor
deinstallierten Patch-Kabels an und stellen Sie sicher, dass beide
Enden des Patch-Kabels mit dem „Kabelende” verbunden sind.
3. Schließen Sie das „Geräteende” eines jeden
Überspannungsschutzes mit vom Benutzer bereitgestellten
Cat5/5e/6/6a/8-Patchkabeln an die zu schützenden
Netzwerkgeräte an.
Hinweis: Für eine optimale Schutzleistung sollte das Cat5/5e/6/6a/8-
Patchkabel zwischen dem „Geräteende” des B110-SP-POE-1 und den
zu schützenden Netzwerkgeräten nicht länger als 73m (240ft.) sein.
Empfohlen werden Cat6a-Snagless Patchkabel der Serie N261 von
Eaton.
4. Schließen Sie das Erdungskabel an jeden In-Line 1G-Netzwerk-
Überspannungsschutz und dann an den Masseanschluss an.

Nota: le istruzioni seguenti presuppongono che due dispositivi di rete siano
attualmente collegati tra loro.
Protezione di un singolo dispositivo:
1. Scollegare il cavo patch installato dal dispositivo che si desidera
proteggere e collegarlo all'"estremità del cavo" della protezione
da sovratensione di rete in linea 1 G.
2. Con un cavo patch Cat5/5e/6/6a/8 fornito dall'utente, collegare
il dispositivo da proteggere all'"estremità dell'apparecchiatura"
della protezione da sovratensione di rete in linea 1 G.
Nota: per ottenere le migliori prestazioni di protezione, il cavo
patch tra l'"estremità dell'apparecchiatura" sul B110-SP-POE-1 e
sull'apparecchiatura da proteggere non deve superare i 100 m (330
piedi). Si consiglia di utilizzare i cavi patch antigroviglio Cat6a serie
N261.
3. Collegare il cavo di terra alla protezione da sovratensione di rete
in linea 1 G e quindi alla messa a terra.

Protezione di più dispositivi:
Nota: la distanza massima tra due protezioni da sovratensione di rete in
linea 1 G è di 73 m (240 piedi).
1. Scollegare i cavi patch installati da entrambi i dispositivi che si
desidera proteggere.
2. Collegare un B110-SP-POE-1 a ciascuna estremità del cavo patch
precedentemente disinstallato, assicurandosi che entrambe le
estremità del cavo patch siano collegate all'"estremità del cavo".
3. Con cavi patch Cat5/5e/6/6a/8 forniti dall'utente, collegare
l'"estremità dell'apparecchiatura" di ogni protezione da
