keytypes.RSAisthepreferredmethodduringnegotiation,followedbyECDSA,ED25519,andDSA.Make
suretoentertherightMD5hostkeythatisusedbyyourSFTPserver.WhiletheAxisdevicesupportsboth
MD5andSHA-256hashkeys,werecommendusingSHA-256duetostrongersecurityoverMD5.Formore
informationonhowtocongureanSFTPserverwithanAxisdevice,gototheAXISOSPortal.
-Usetemporarylename:Selecttouploadleswithtemporary,automaticallygeneratedlenames.The
lesgetrenamedtothedesirednameswhentheuploadcompletes.Iftheuploadisabortedorinterrupted,
youdon’tgetanycorruptles.However,youprobablystillgetthetemporaryles.Thisway,youknow
thatalllesthathavethedesirednamearecorrect.

-Username:Entertheusernameforthemailserver.Leavethiseldemptyifthemailserverdoesnot
requireauthentication.

-Validateservercerticate:Ifyouuseencryption,selecttovalidatetheidentityofthedevice.Thecerticate
