1. INTRODUCTION
Manufactured to CAT 2 BS EN 388 and BS EN 407 from 100% DuPont Kevlar®. Designed for use in engine bays to prevent cuts to
forearms and burns from exhausts and other hot components. Thumb slot design ensures sleeve will stay in position.Certied to EN
12477, Type ‘A’.
2. SAFETY
NOTE: These sleeves have been designed to protect against primarily mechanical risks as dened by Regulation (EU) 2016/425 and
Module B of Regulation 2016/425 on personal protective equipment, as amended to apply in GB. They are in compliance with and are
labelled according to the requirements of the PPE Regulation and subsequent amendments and comply with the applicable technical
European Standards detailed in this document. Jack Sealey Limited will not be held responsible for the improper use of the product for
non-designated purposes. Assess your actual workplace conditions to determine if the sleeves are appropriate for the specied use.
2.1. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
WARNING! DO NOT bring the sleeves into contact with a naked ame or re.
WARNING! Whilst these sleeves are highly cut resistant, they are not cut proof.
8 DO NOT use these sleeves with chemicals.
8 DO NOT use when there is a risk of entanglement with moving machine parts.
8 DO NOT subject to high speed or serrated blades.
9 Inspect the sleeves for defects before each use.
9 Replace damaged, dirty or worn out sleeves.
9 Clean the sleeves after use, as used sleeves may be contaminated with infectious or hazardous materials.
2.2. CONSTITUENTS/ALLERGIES
2.2.1. Some sleeves may contain ingredients which are known to be a possible cause of allergies in sensitive persons who may develop
irritant and/or allergic contact reactions. lf an allergic reaction should occur, seek medical advice Immediately.
NOTE: This model does not contain any substances at levels that are known to, or suspected to adversely aect user hygiene or
health.
This data may not renect actual duration of protection in the workplace due to factors such as temperature, abrasion and degradation
etc. The result of the laboratory tests should help with correct products election, however it should be understood that the actual
conditions of use cannot be directly simulated. lt is therefore the responsibility of the end user and not the manufacturer to determine
suitability for the intended use.
2.3. Protection against risks or hazards not mentioned In this document is not warranted.
2.4. The levels of performance mentioned are only valid for new sleeves.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be
sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When
the product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any uids (if applicable) into approved
containers and dispose of the product and uids according to local regulations.
4. MAINTENANCE
4.1. CLEANING
8 DO NOT use with chlorine bleaches.
8 DO NOT wash or dry clean this product.
NOTE: The performance results are for products in a new condition only and Jack Sealey Limited cannot accept any liability if the
sleeves do not have the same levels of performance after washing.
4.2. STORAGE
9 Store the gloves in their original packaging.
9 Store away from direct sunlight, in a cool, dry place.
9 Store the gloves in clean, covered and ventilated premises.
4.3. MAINTENANCE
9 The gloves should be inspected before each use, and replaced if damaged.
5. OBSOLESCENCE
Service life cannot be specied and depends on the application and responsibility of user to ascertain suitability of the sleeve for its
intended use. In any case, this PPE is subject to ageing and has a 3 year shelf life when stored in appropriate conditions.
