ASSEMBLY AND HOOK-UP INFORMATION

1. HeatermodelMH15TSandMH30TSarepackaged

 complete.Propanecylinders(tanks)arenotincluded

withheatermodel.

2. Removeheaterfromcarton.

3. UseonlyvaporwithdrawalLPgascylindersconstructed

forusewithpropaneonly(HD-5)andmarkedinaccor-

dancewiththespecificationsforLPgascylindersofthe

U.S.DepartmentofTransportation(DOTSPEC.39).

4. Thisheatermustbeusedonlywithavaporwithdrawal

LPgasbulktankequippedwithastandardPOLvalve

–donotusethisheateronbulktanksgreaterthan20

poundsLPGcapacity(50poundswatercapacity).

• Thetankcollarbracketmustbeassembledbefore

• RemovescrewsholdingPiezoIgniterbracketto

 manifoldcenterplateandretainforlateruse.

• Alignboltholesintankcollarbracketwithbolt

holesincenterplateonmanifoldsuchthatthe

heaterisfacingoutwardonceattachedtocylinder

collar.

• Attachedwithscrewsremovedabove,makingsure

thatPiezoIgniterbracketisbetweentankcollar

bracketandmanifoldcenterplate.

• Placeheaterontotankwithtankcollarbracket

overtankcollar.Mountingboltknobshouldbe

positionedtotheoutsideoftankcollar.

• Firmlysecuretotankbyhand-tighteningmounting

boltknob.Donotovertighten.

• Makesureheaterregulatorisinthe“OFF”position.

• Insertregulator’sconnectorintotank’svalveand

turnleft(counterclock-wise)withhandasmuchas

FUEL GAS ODOR

LP gas and natural gas have man-made odorants added

specifically for detection of fuel gas leaks.

If a gas leak occurs you should be able to smell the fuel

gas. Since Propane (LP) is heavier than air you should smell

for the gas odor low to the floor. ANY GAS ODOR IS YOUR

SIGNAL TO GO INTO IMMEDIATE ACTION!

 •Donottakeanyactionthatcouldignitethefuelgas.Donot

operateanyelectricalswitches.Donotpullanypowersupply

orextensioncords.Donotlightmatchesoranyothersource

offlame.Donotuseyourtelephone.

 •Geteveryoneoutofthebuildingandawayfromthearea

 •Closeallpropane(LP)gastankorcylinderfuelsupplyvalves,

orthemainfuelsupplyvalvelocatedatthemeterifyouuse

naturalgas.

 •Propane(LP)gasisheavierthanairandmaysettleinlow

areas.Whenyouhavereasontosuspectapropaneleak,keep

outofalllowareas.

 •Useyourneighbor’sphoneandcallyourfuelgassupplierand

 •Smokingcandecreaseyourabilitytosmell.Beingaround

anodorforaperiodoftimecanaffectyoursensitivityto

thatparticularodor.Odorspresentinanimalconfinement

buildingscanmaskfuelgasodor.

•The odorant in propane (LP) gas and natural gas is

colorless and the intensity of its odor can fade under

some circumstances.

 •Ifthereisanundergroundleak,themovementofgasthrough

thesoilcanfiltertheodorant.

 •Propane(LP)gasodormaydifferinintensityatdifferent

levels.SincePropane(LP)gasisheavierthanair,theremaybe

moreodoratlowerlevels.

• Always be sensitive to the slightest gas odor. Ifyou

continuetodetectanygasodor,nomatterhowsmall,treat

itasaseriousleak.Immediatelygointoactionasdiscussed

previously.

1. LesappareilsdechauffagemodèlesMH15TSetMH30TSsont

complètementemballés.Lesbonbonnesdepropane(réservoirs)

nesontpasfourniesaveccemodèled'appareildechauffage.

2. Déballezl’appareildechauffage.

3. Utilisezuniquementdesbonbonnesdegazliquéfié

àévacuationsousformedevapeurfabriquées

spécifiquementpourlegazpropane(HD-5)arborant

uneétiquetteindiquantlesspécificationsdes

bonbonnesdegazliquéfiédudépartementdes

transportsdeÉ.-U(DOTSPEC.39).

4. Cetappareildechauffagedoitêtreuniquementutilisé

avecunebonbonnedegazliquéfiéàévacuationsous

formevapeuréquipéed’unevalvePOLstandard.N’utilisez

pascetappareildechauffageavecdesbonbonnesdegaz

liquéfiédeplusde20lb(capacitéeneaude50lb).

plaçantlesupportducolletdelabonbonnesurle

7. Ouvrezlentementlavalvedelabonbonnedepropane.

8. Vérifiezl’étanchéitédetouslesraccords.Appliquezun

mélangeà50/50d’eauetdesavonliquidesurtous

lesjoints.Laformationdebullesindiqueunefuite

surleraccord.Réglezlesproblèmesdefuiteavantde

poursuivre.

ATTENTION

 Pouréviterlesblessures,netouchezjamaisàl’appareil

dechauffagependantqu’ilfonctionne.Déplacez

l’appareildechauffageensaisissantlabonbonnede

propaneavecprécaution.

lamort.Lessymptômesd’uneintoxicationaumonoxydede

carbonesontdesmauxdetête,desvertigesetdesdifficultés

pourrespirer.

ODEUR DES GAZ COMBUSTIBLES

Le GPL et le gaz naturel contiennent des odorants de

synthèse ajoutés spécialement pour détecter les fuites de

gaz combustibles. S’il y a une fuite de gaz, vous devriez

être en mesure de la sentir. Comme le Propane est plus

lourd que l’air, vous devriez sentir son odeur à même le sol.

LA MOINDRE ODEUR DE GAZ EST LE SIGNAL POUR AGIR

IMMÉDIATEMENT!

 •Nefaitesrienquipourraitallumerlecombustible.N’utilisezpas

d’interrupteurélectrique.N’utilisezpasdebatterieoudecâbles.

N’allumezpasd’allumetteoun’importequelleautresourcede

flamme.N’utilisezpasvotretéléphone.

 •Faitesévacuerlebâtimentetéloignerlespersonnes

immédiatement.

 •Fermeztouteslesbouteillesdepropane(GPL)oulesvalves

d’approvisionnementencarburant,oulavalved’arrivée

principalesituéeaucompteursivousutilisezdugaznaturel.

 •Lepropaneestpluslourdquel’airetpeuts’accumulerdansles

zonesbasses.Quandvousavezuneraisondesuspecterune

fuitedegaz,évitezleszonesbasses.

 •Utilisezletéléphonedevotrevoisinetappelezvotrefournisseur

degazetlespompiers.Nerentrezpasànouveaudansle

bâtimentoulazone.

 •Restezendehorsdubâtimentetéloignédelazonetantqu’elle

napasétésécuriséeparlespompiersetvotrefournisseurdegaz.

 •ENFIN,laissezlepersonneldevotrefournisseurdegazetles

pompierschercherlegazéchappé.Faites-leuraérerlebâtiment

oulazoneavantderevenir.

vérifierl’absenced’autresfuites,etensuiterallumervotreappareil.

personnesnepeuventpassentirl’odeurdessubstancesde

synthèseajoutéesaupropane(GPL)ouaugaznaturel.Vous

devezdéterminersivouspouvezsentirlesodorantsdecesgaz

combustibles.

 •Apprenezàreconnaîtrel’odeurdupropane(GPL)etdugaz

naturel.Lesfournisseurslocauxdegazserontravisdevous

fairedécouvriretsentirunéchantillon.Profitez-enpourvous

familiariseraveclesodeursdegazcombustibles.

 •Fumerpeutdiminuervotrecapacitéàsentir.Êtreenprésence

d’uneodeurpendantunelonguepériodepeutaffectervotre

sensibilitéàcetteodeurparticulière.Lesodeursprésentesdans

lesbâtimentsabritantdesanimauxpeuventmasquerlesodeurs

degaz.

•L’odorant dans le propane (GPL) et dans le gaz naturel est

incolore et l’intensité de son odeur peut disparaître dans

certaines circonstances.

 •S’ilyaunefuitesouterraine,ledéplacementdugazàtraversle

solpeutfiltrerl’odorant.

 •L’odeurdupropane(GPL)peutchangerenintensitéà

différentsniveaux.Commelepropane(GPL)estpluslourdque

l’air,ilpeutyavoirplusd’odeurdanslesbasniveaux.

• Soyez toujours être attentif à la plus légère odeur de gaz.

Sivouscontinuezàdétecteruneodeurdegaz,mêmeinfime,

chauffage;c.-à-d.détendeurs,connexions,etc.,estunebonne

pratiquedesécuritédanstouslescas.Sivoussentezmêmeune

petitequantitédegaz,CONTACTEZIMMÉDIATEMENTVOTRE

FOURNISSEURDEGAZ.N’ATTENDEZPAS!

10.L’ensembledesflexiblesdoitêtreinspectévisuellement

OLOR DEL GAS COMBUSTIBLE

El gas licuado y el gas natural poseen odorizantes artificiales

agregados específicamente para la detección de fugas de

gas combustible.

Si se produce una fuga de gas, podrá oler el gas

combustible. Dado que el propano (licuado) es más pesado

que el aire, debe detectar el olor a gas cerca del nivel del

suelo. CUALQUIER OLOR A GAS QUE DETECTE LE INDICA

QUE DEBE TOMAR MEDIDAS INMEDIATAS.
