safer at the rate for which it was designed.
8 DO NOTusethepowertooliftheswitchdoesnotturnitonando.Anypowertoolthatcannotbecontrolledwiththeswitchis
dangerous and must be repaired.
9 Removethebatterypack,ifdetachable,fromthepowertoolbeforemakinganyadjustments,changingaccessories,orstoringpower
tools.Suchpreventivesafetymeasuresreducetheriskofstartingthepowertoolaccidentally.
9 Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with these power tools or these instructions
tooperatethepowertool.Powertoolsaredangerousinthehandsofuntrainedusers.

9 Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and grasping surfaces do not allow
for safe handling and control of the tool in unexpected situations.
1.7. SERVICE
9 Replace or repair damaged parts. Use an authorised service agent and recommended parts only. Unauthorised parts may be
dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
9 Haveyourpowertoolservicedbyaqualiedrepairpersonusingonlyidenticalreplacementparts.Thiswillensurethatthesafetyof
the power tool is maintained.
9 Neverservicedamagedbatterypacks.Serviceofbatterypacksshouldonlybeperformedbythemanufacturerorauthorised
serviceproviders.

9 Underabusiveconditions,liquidmaybeejectedfromthebattery;avoidcontact.Ifcontactaccidentlyoccurs,ushwithwater.If
liquidcontactseyes,additionallyseekmedicalhelp.Liquidejectedfromthebatterymaycauseirritationorburns.
8 DO NOTuseabatterypackortoolthatisdamagedormodied.Damagedormodiedbatteriesmayexhibitunpredictable

1.9. DRILL SAFETY WARNINGS
9 Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when performing an operation where the cutting accessory may contact hidden
wiring.Cuttingaccessorycontactinga“live”wiremaymakeexposedmetalpartsofthepowertool“live”andcouldgivetheoperator
an electric shock.
9 Neveroperateataspeedhigherthanthemaximumspeedratingofthedrillbit.Athigherspeeds,thebitislikelytobendifallowedto
rotatefreelywithoutcontactingtheworkpiece,resultinginpersonalinjury.
9 Always start drilling at low speed and with the bit tip in contact with the workpiece.
9 Applypressureonlyindirectlinewiththebitanddonotapplyexcessivepressure.Bitscanbendcausingbreakageorlossof
control,resultinginpersonalinjury.
1.10. BATTERY CHARGER SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Childrenfromage8yearsandabove,personswithreducedphysical,sensory,ormentalcapabilitiesthosewithlackofexperienceand
knowledgecanusetheappliance,iftheyhavebeengivensupervisionorinstructionconcerninguseoftheapplianceinasafewayto
understandthehazardsinvolved.

Cleaningandusermaintenanceontheapplianceshallnotbemadebychildrenwithoutsupervision.
9 Theapplianceshallbedisconnectedfromitspowersourceduringserviceandwhenreplacingpartsand,ifthattheremovaloftheplug

4. OPERATION
IMPORTANT WARRANTY INFORMATION:
Thebatterypackfittedtothiscordlesstoolisconsideredtobeaconsumableitemanditsabilitytoacceptchargewillreduceover
time.Wewillwarrantyitagainstmechanicalandelectricaldefectforaperiodofoneyear-thisdoesnotcoverfairwearandtear.Ifthe
battery is not properly charged before first use, or regularly conditioned, its capacity will diminish. Under these circumstances we will
notreplacethebatterypackevenifitislessthanoneyearold.
4.1. BATTERY CHARGING
4.1.1. Plugthechargerintoamainselectricsocket.Whenswitchedon,thechargerLEDwilldisplaygreen.
4.1.2. Toreleasethebatterypressthebatterylatchandslidethebatteryforward.
4.1.3. Slidethebatteryintothecharger(g.2).ThechargerLEDwilldisplayasteadyred,toshowthatchargingistakingplace.
4.1.4. When the battery is fully charged, a green light will return. Allow the battery to cool before use.
4.1.5. Replace the battery in the drill, sliding in until secured by the latch.
NOTE: Whennew,thebatterymayhavebeenshippedinalowchargestate.Itwilltakelongertochargethebatteryinitiallyandseveral
subsequent charges may also take a little longer, compared with when the battery reaches its optimum performance.
8 DO NOTchargeasecondbatteryimmediately.Consecutivechargingwilloverheatthecharger.Allowtheunittocoolfor15minutes
before
charging the next battery.
8 DO NOT
attempt to connect two chargers together.
4.2. USING THE DRILL(g.1)
4.2.1. Ensurethatyouhaveread,understoodandcomplywithallthesafetyinstructionsinSection1.
4.2.2. Ensurethedirectionswitchisinthemid(lock)position.Openthechuckandinserttherequireddrillorscrewdriverbit.
4.2.3. Selecthighorlowspeedbyusingtheselectorontopofthecasing(highspeedfordrilling,lowforhammerorscrewdriving).
4.2.4. Selectthedirectionofrotationbymeansoftheforward/reverseselector.
4.2.5. Select hammer, screw or drill by turning the selector ring.
4.2.6. Ifdrivingscrews,settherequiredtorquebymeansofthetorqueselectorring.1isthelowesttorquesetting.
4.2.7. TheLEDworklightislitwheneverthetriggerisdepressed.
4.2.8. Whenthetriggerisdepressed,thechargeleveldisplay,onthedrillbody(fig.1)isalsoilluminated.Whengreen,amberandredlights
areshowing,thechargelevelishealthy.Asthechargeleveldrops,theindicatorlightsgooutprogressively.Whenjusttheredlightis
showing, the battery requires recharging.
4.2.9. Whenfinished,removethebit,cleanthedrillandbitandreplacethedrillinitscase.
4.2.10. Store in a cool, dry place out of the reach of children.
