upasecureandencryptedHTTPSconnectionandthenchangethepassword.

Thedevicepasswordistheprimaryprotectionforyourdataandservices.Axisdevicesdonotimposeapasswordpolicyasthey

maybeusedinvarioustypesofinstallations.

Toprotectyourdatawestronglyrecommendthatyou:

•Useapasswordwithatleast8characters,preferablycreatedbyapasswordgenerator.

•Don’texposethepassword.

•Changethepasswordatarecurringinterval,atleastonceayear.

providedthateachaddressisunique.Toavoidconicts,werecommendyoutocontactyournetworkadministratorbeforeyou

assignastaticIPaddress.

Subnetmask:Enterthesubnetmasktodenewhataddressesareinsidethelocalareanetwork.Anyaddressoutsidethelocal

areanetworkgoesthroughtherouter.
