HOLDING THE HEDGE TRIMMER
WARNING:
Always keep both hands on the hedge trimmer handles. Never
hold shrubs with one hand and operate the hedge trimmer with the other. Failure
to heed this warning may result in serious injury.
Hold the hedge trimmer with one hand on the rear handle and with your other hand on
the front handle or the auxiliary handle (Fig. 8a & 8b).

STARTING/STOPPING THE HEDGE TRIMMER
Before operating, remove the blade sheath and hold the trimmer with both hands, one
hand on the rear handle and the other on the front handle or the auxiliary handle. Then
check for balanced footing, upright standing and a proper cutting distance. Make sure
that the cutting blade is not touching the ground or any other objects.
To start the machine (Fig. 9)
1. Install the battery pack.
2. Move the lock-off lever forward and
then press the trigger switch to start
the machine. The speed of the hedge
trimmer is controlled with the trigger
switch. More pressure on the trigger
results in higher speed; less pressure
on the trigger results in lower speed.
Adjust the speed to suit the task at hand.
NOTICE: The motor starts only when the lock-off lever is moved forward and the
trigger switch is depressed at the same time.
