8. Fit the funnel cover into the funnel. Push to secure it with
the eight snap fittings on the inside of the funnel (Fig. 8).
9. Snap the clean-out tool on the frame for easy access.
Fitting the Collection Bag
NOTE: This unit does not come with a leaf collection bag; you
must supply your own. You may use a plastic, paper, or cloth
collection bag, depending on your preferred method of waste
disposal.
1. Open the bag and fit it around the motor housing.
2. Use the elastic strap located at the base of the motor
housing to secure the bag in place (Fig. 9).
NOTE: You may choose to remove the frame and place
the mulcher + shredder directly onto a bin instead for easy
and convenient disposal of the shredded waste.

Operation
Starting + Stopping
1. Make sure the On/Off switch is in the OFF position. Plug
the mulcher + shredder’s power cord into an electrical
outlet using a suitable extension cord (Fig. 10).
2. To turn on the mulcher + shredder, flip the On/Off switch
up. Flip it down to turn it off (Fig. 11).
mWARNING! The motor will continue to spin for a while
after the unit is turned off.
Loading Your Machine
1. With the unit running, feed double handfuls of dry leaves
or single handfuls of wet leaves into the funnel (Fig. 12).
