Createacontact

Thisexampleexplainshowtocreateanewcontactinthecontactlist.Beforeyoustart,enableSIPinCommunication>SIP.

Tocreateanewcontact:

1.GotoCommunication>Contactlist.

2.Click+Addcontact.

3.Entertherstandlastnameofthecontact.

4.Enterthecontact’sSIPaddress.

5.SelecttheSIPaccounttocallfrom.

AvailabilityoptionsaredenedinSystem>Events>Schedules.

6.Choosethecontact’sAvailability.Ifthere’sacallwhenthecontactisn’tavailable,thecallgetscanceledunlessathere’s

afallbackcontact.

Afallbackisacontact,towhomthecallgetsforwardediftheoriginalcontactdoesn’treplyorisn’tavailable.

7.InFallback,selectNone.

8.ClickSave.

Congurethecallbutton

Bydefault,thecallbuttonisconguredtomakeVMS(videomanagementsoftware)calls.Ifyouwanttokeepthisconguration,you

justneedtoaddtheAxisintercomtotheVMS.

Thisexampleexplainshowtosetupthesystemtocallacontactinthecontactlistwhenavisitorpressesthecallbutton.

1.GotoCommunication>Calls>Callbutton.

2.TurnoffMakecallsinthevideomanagementsoftware(VMS).

3.UnderRecipients,selectacontact.

Todisablethecallbutton,turnoffEnablecallbutton.

UseDTMFtounlockthedoorforavisitor

Whenavisitormakesacallfromtheintercom,thepersonwhoanswerscanusetheDual-ToneMulti-Frequencysignaling(DTMF)

ofhisSIPdevicetounlockthedoor.Thedoorcontrollerunlocksandlocksthedoor.

Thisexampleexplainshowto:

•denetheDTMFsignalintheintercom

•setuptheintercomto:

-requestthedoorcontrollertounlockthedoor,or

-unlockthedoorusingtheinternalrelay.
