Installation
STEP 6 Connect the water line
You must connect a water line from the main water supply to your refrigerator to use the
water dispenser or the auto ice maker. A water lter is provided for removing unwanted
particles from the main water supply, but it does not sterilize or eliminate microorganisms
in the water, and you may need to purchase a water purifying system for that purpose.
Water pressure
The water pressure supplied to the refrigerator must meet the following requirements:
Minimum Maximum
30 psi (206 kPa) 125 psi (861 kPa)
If the refrigerator is installed in an area where minimum water pressure cannot be met,
you can install a booster pump to compensate for the low water pressure.
Connect the water supply line to the main water supply
NOTE
• Only connect the water line to potable water.
• Water line installation kits are available at extra cost from your retailer. We
recommend using a water line installation kit that contains copper tubing and a
1
/4” (6
