7. Wash and prep ingredients by
removing stems, peeling, coring,
cutting to a smaller size or other
activity. Refer to the recipe in-
structions for guidance.
NOTE: The Ascent™ Series A2300 and
A2500 and Venturist
®
blenders must
be within the 1-10 variable speed range
to work with the food processor. The
blender base will not turn on if the
knob is set to Standby or a Program
setting. The blade or disc will turn at a
continuous speed. No speed adjust-
ment on the blender base is necessary.
to chop:
a. Set the Multi-Use Blade on the
Gear Stem.
b. Place ingredients in the Work
Bowl and secure the lid, with the
Large Food Pusher inserted in the
Large Food Chute to engage the
interlock safety feature.
c. Follow recipe instructions and
process to perfection.
d. Turn o the blender base, then
remove the lid and blade.
e. For easier emptying, press the
Work Bowl Release to detach the
SELF-DETECT Base.
f. Remove or pour ingredients out
of the work bowl.
a. To avoid touching the slicing
blade, use the finger holes to
place the disc.
b. Secure the lid.
c. Place the ingredients into the
smallest Food Chute that makes
sense for the size of the food
being processed.
d. Insert the Food Pusher and let it
rest on the ingredients.
e. Check the screen to verify the
SELF-DETECT Base is detected.
f. Turn on the blender base.
g. Press lightly on the food pusher
to feed the ingredient into the
disc, letting gravity do most of
the work.
h. When processing is complete,
turn o the blender base and
remove the lid and blade.
i. For easier emptying, press the
Work Bowl Release to detach
the SELF-DETECT Base.
j. Remove or pour ingredients out
of the work bowl.
