Cover all surfaces with tape or plastic protection lm to protect against
scratching and damage. EchoMaster is in no way responsible for any damage
that may incur during installation.
This product has been validated in the vehicles listed on the application guide only.
Care must be taken when installing this accessory to ensure damage does not occur
to the vehicle. The installation of this accessory should follow approved guidelines to
ensure proper installation. Read entire instructions thoroughly before starting.
This document covers such items as:
- Vehicle Protection (use of covers and blankets, cleaning chemicals, etc).
- Vehicle Disassembly / Reassembly (panel removal, part storage, etc).
- Electrical Component Disassembly / Reassembly (battery disconnection,
connector removal, etc).
NOTES:
Removed Parts: Inspect the vehicle and parts for any damage.
Place all removed parts on a protected surface in an area where they will not get
damaged.
Connectors: When disconnecting connectors, do not pull on the wires; pull by
holding the connectors.
Retains the factory reverse camera if equipped.

CAUTION
Consult your vehicle owner’s manual to disconnect the battery. Do not disconnect
ANY airbag connectors or indicators. Doing so may result in activating a diagnostic
code. These codes will require the dealer to perform the reset procedure which may
incur a reset fee. If you are unsure of any vehicle trim removal process consult the
OEM service manual.
Removing vehicle trim panels in extreme hot and/or cold climate could result in
damage. Use care when removing all vehicle trims.
Using painter’s blue tape on the vehicle trim panels can help limit any scratches
and/or marring. Use a nylon trim panel removal tool whenever possible.

Removing the Radio
Using a nylon trim removal tool, remove
the cover from behind the radio display.
There are several tabs holding the cover
in place.
Press the plastic trim removal tool in
between the rear cover and the front trim
of the display. Pry the two pieces apart
releasing the locking tabs.
Remove the 2 x 7mm bolts holding the
radio display in the dash. Disconnect the
connector from the display and pull the
display straight up to remove it from the
dash.
Remove 2 x 7mm bolts from below the
radio display.

Remove the front cover using a nylon trim
removal tool. Pry the cover from the dash
and remove.
Remove the 2 x 7mm screws from the
radio control panel.
Remove the radio control panel using a
nylon trim removal tool.

Removing the Dash Panel(s)
Remove the cup holder by using a nylon
pry tool to pry it straight up.
Remove the 3 x 7mm bolts holding the side
dash panel in place.

Remove the small cover located inside the
front cup holder.
Remove the 1 x 7mm bolt holding the side
dash panel in place.

Remove the side cover and cup holder.
Remove the glove box.
Two tabs need to be released inside the
top of the glove box.
Then fold forward and lift out of the
hinges located along the bottom of the
glove box.

column. Pull straight back and release the 8
locking tabs holding it in place.

Remove 2 screws holding the steering
column shroud cover.
Using a nylon pry tool separate the top and
bottom steering column shroud cover.
Remove the steering column shroud lower
cover, to gain access to the turn signal
switch connector.

Removing the Door Panels
Removing the Sail Panels

There are 8 bolts and several snap
connectors holding the door panels in
place.
It is only necessary to remove the door
panel if the mirrors are powered or have
turn signal indicators.
For easier access when routing the camera
cable, remove the sail panel in front of the
mirror by pulling it straight towards you.
There are 3 locking tabs holding these in
place.
The following sections represent both sides of the vehicle. Each step will need to be
done on both driver’s and passenger sides.

Removing the Mirrors

Remove the 3 rubber grommets from the
interior door frame to access the 3 x 10mm
nuts holding the mirror.
PLEASE NOTE
Be sure to protect the side of the vehicle
when removing the mirrors.
Remove the foam
gasket from the
mirror.
1.75”
5.5”
Drill a 1/4” hole 5.5” from the bottom of
the mirror frame and 1.75” from the mirror
plastic to route the camera cable through.

Remove the mirror glass from the housing.
Start with the bottom smaller mirror.
Tilt the top of the mirror inward. Place
ngers underneath. Pull straight forward
to release. The mirror is held in place with
small snap clips around the center mount.
Repeat the same steps with the larger
upper mirror.
Remove the 6 X T20, 2 x T10 torx screws
holding the mirror cap in place.

CAUTION
Use even pressure to remove the mirror
glass. The glass can shatter if not removed
correctly.

Routing Camera Harnesses

Remove the housing from the mirror. Using a
nylon pry tool separate the plastic housing to
run the camera cable through the mirror.
Parts of the plastic housing are easier to
separate with the mirror folded inward.
Route the camera cable along the top rail using
the factory tabs to hold the cable in place.
Route the camera cable down through the
large hinge. There is a large opening the cable
will come through.
Route the cable through the hole drilled earlier.
Once the cable is routed through the mirror,
reinstall the plastic housing.

Leave extra cable to connect the
camera.

Mount the camera mirror cap to the mirror
housing. There are three alignment tabs
on the original plastic. Align the three tabs
along with the two alignment pins located at
the top and the bottom of the mirror frame.

Flat edge on Bottom of the Camera to
mate with Flat edge on the insert.
Push until camera snaps into place.

Reinstall the 6 X T20, 2 x T10 torx screws
holding the mirror cap surround in place.
Reinstall the mirror glass by snapping them
back on the mounts.
Use even, at pressure to lock the mirror glass
into place.
Reinstall the foam removed from the mirror
frame when the mirror was removed.
Mount the mirror on the vehicle leaving the
camera cable hanging out from behind the
foam.
Routing the Camera Cables
Remove the grommet located between the
mirror and the sail piece. Cut an X in the
grommet to route the camera cable through.
Replace the sail once the grommet is
reinstalled with the camera cable inserted.

Route camera extension harnesses along
the inside lower portion of the dash and up
to the radio cavity.
Connect the T-harness to the radio
vehicle harness and the other side to the
radio.
Connect the RCAs from the
MCI-FD22-HAR to the RCAs of
the MB11-VS41-HAR.
Connect the camera extension cables to
the left and right camera input on the
MB11-VS41-HAR. Use proper orientation
on the connections as to not damage the
cameras.
The toggle switch is for front camera use.
Refer to the P-MCI-FD22 guide.

Route the steering wheel connector
harness (14 pin T-harness) to the steering
column. Disconnect the 14 pin
connector from the turn signal indicator
connector. Connect the T-harness to the
turn signal indicator and the other end
to the vehicle harness. Avoid all moving
parts secure the harness using cable
ties. Reinstall the steering wheel column
shroud.
