Thank you for purchasing a Sealey product. Manufactured to a high standard, this product will, if used according to these instructions,
and properly maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.

1. SAFETY
WARNING! Put the ear defenders on before exposing yourself to noise and wear them during the whole noise exposure. Be
warned that failure to adhere to these recommendations will cause the protection afforded by the product to be severely impaired.
WARNING! These ear defenders are of large size range. Ear defenders complying with EN 352-1 are of large size range. Large size
range ear defenders are designed to t wearers for whom medium size range ear defenders are not suitable.
9 Regularly check for serviceability.
9 Ear defenders may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances. Further information should be sought from manufacturer of the
chemicals that they may come into contact with.
9 Ear defenders and in particular the cushions, may deteriorate with use and should be examined at frequent intervals for cracking and
deterioration. Replace after 2 to 3 years of normal use or sooner if there are any signs of deterioration.
8 DO NOT replace any parts, there are no replacement parts.
9 The tting of hygiene covers to the cushions may affect the acoustic performance of the ear defenders.
9 Ear protection will be reduced if the defenders are not well tted and not regularly checked.
9 If the recommendations given in the instructions are not followed, the protection provided by the ear defenders will be signicantly
reduced.
2. INTRODUCTION
Lightweight, yet rugged construction, certied to BS EN 352-1:2002 standard. Hearing protection level in excess of the standard, with an SNR of
30.4dB. Adjustable swivel cups for optimum comfort and safety. Arms fold in for easy storage. Fully approved to protect against high noise levels
in most working environments.
3. ATTENUATION VALUES
4. USE
4.1. Pull the cups apart, place headband over the head.
4.2. Place cups over the ears, adjust the height for optimum comfort by sliding the cups up or down whilst holding the headband in place.
Ensure the headband rests on the top of the head to support the defenders.
4.3. Make sure the cushions form a snug seal around the ears and reduce noise effectively.
5. CLEANING
5.1. Clean with warm soapy water, DO NOT use organic solvents or alcohol for cleaning.
5.2. DISINFECTION
5.2.1. Disinfect every 3 months according to use.
5.2.2. Any part of the ear defender which is in contact with the wearer, shall be disinfected with a product suitable for use on plastics,
(materials used: Polycarbonate/Polyoxymethylene headband, Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene/High Impact Polystyrene cup and soft
Polyvinyl Chloride leather) and not known to be harmful to the wearer.
6. STORAGE
6.1. When not in use store in a clean and dry poly-bag.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to
a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When the product becomes completely
unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and fluids
according to local regulations.
