Symptom Possible cause Solution
No hot water
despite fully
opened hot
water faucet.
No electrical power. Check the circuit breaker and
check voltage at the wiring block.
The activation flow rate needed to
turn on the heating element has
not been reached.
– Clean filter screen
– Clean aerator installed at faucet
Safety cut out tripped – Turn circuit breakers off
– Open hot valve to release
pressure from the unit
– Reset safety pressure cut out

DANGER: Electrocution
Do not attempt to reset the safety pressure cutout of
this water heater unless power to the unit has been
completely shut off at the circuit breakers.
