Thiscameraisdesignedtodeliveruptofourdifferentstreams.Ifafthuniquestreamisrequested,
thecameracan’tprovideit,andanerrormessageisdisplayed.Theerrormessagedependsonthe
waythestreamisrequested.Thestreamsareusedonarstcome,rstservedbasis.Examples
ofinstancesthatuseastreamare:
•Liveviewinginawebbrowserorotherapplication
•Whilerecording-continuousormotiontriggeredrecording
•Aneventthatusesimagesonthecamera,forexampleaneventthatsendsane-mail
withanimageeveryhour
•Aninstalledandrunningapplication,suchasAXISVideoMotionDetection,willalways
consumeavideostream,whetheritisusedornot.Astoppedapplicationdoesnot
consumeavideostream.
Thecameracandelivermorethanfoursimultaneousstreamsprovidedthecongurationofany
additionalstreamisidenticaltoanyoftherstfourstreams.Identicalcongurationimpliesexactly

Performanceconsiderations
Whensettingupyoursystem,itisimportanttoconsiderhowvarioussettingsandsituationsaffecttheperformance.Somefactors
affecttheamountofbandwidth(thebitrate)required,otherscanaffecttheframerate,andsomeaffectboth.Iftheloadonthe
CPUreachesitsmaximum,thisalsoaffectstheframerate.
Thefollowingfactorsarethemostimportanttoconsider:
•Highimageresolutionorlowercompressionlevelsresultinimagescontainingmoredatawhichinturnaffectsthe
bandwidth.
•RotatingtheimageintheGUIwillincreasetheproduct'sCPUload.
•AccessbylargenumbersofMotionJPEGorunicastH.264clientsaffectsthebandwidth.
•AccessbylargenumbersofMotionJPEGorunicastH.265clientsaffectsthebandwidth.
•Simultaneousviewingofdifferentstreams(resolution,compression)bydifferentclientsaffectsbothframerateand
bandwidth.
