Overdischarge protection
When the battery capacity is not enough, the tool stops automati-
cally. If you turn the tool on, the motor runs again but stops soon. In
this case, remove the battery from the tool and charge the battery.
Switch action
WARNING: Before installing the battery car-
tridge into the tool, always check to see that the
switch trigger actuates properly and returns to
the "OFF" position when released.
WARNING:
For your safety, this tool is equipped
with the lock-off button which prevents the tool from
unintended starting. Never use the tool if it starts when
you pull the switch trigger without pressing the lock-off

tape down the lock-off button.

off button can be pressed from either the right or left side.

also lights up when the tool becomes overloaded.

Adjusting the shearing height (for
grass shear)
CAUTION: When changing the shearing
height, be sure to attach the blade cover and be
careful not to trap ngers between the tool and
grass receiver.
Theshearingheightcanbesettothreelevels(15mm
(9/16"), 20 mm (13/16"), and 25 mm (1")) by changing
thexedpositionofthegrassreceiver.Theshearing
height without the grass receiver is about 10 mm (3/8").
