1) Clean all detachable parts after each use in hot
soapy water.
2) Wipe the external surface of the appliance with a
soft, damp cloth to remove stains.
NOTE: Do not attempt to clean the inside of the water
tank, as this will leave a residue of lint and may clog
your coffee maker. Simply rinse it with cold water
periodically.
3) Water droplets may build up in the area above the
funnel and drip onto the product base during brewing.
To control the dripping, wipe off the area with a clean,
dry cloth after each use.
4) Replace all parts and keep for next use.
REMOVING MINERAL DEPOSITS
To keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, you
should periodically clean away the mineral deposits
left by water according to water quality in your area
and frequency of use. We recommend removing the
mineral deposits as follows:
1. Fill the tank with water and descaler to the max level
as indicated on water gauge (the usual ratio of water to
descaler is 4:1. Please refer to the descaler instructions.
Please use a “household descaler”). You may also use
citric acid instead of descaler (use the water/acid ratio
indicated on the citric acid).
2. Insert the glass carafe onto the warming plate.
3. Make sure the removable filter without coffee
powder and the funnel are assembled in place.
3. Switch on the appliance and allow it to “brew” the
de-scaling solution.
4. After “brewing” one cup of the solution, switch off
the appliance.
5. Leave the solution for 15 minutes and repeat steps 3
t
o 5.
