5. Add detergent, bleach and fabric softener to automatic dispenser following these steps:

A. OPENING AND CLOSING THE DISPENSER
DRAWER
• Slowly open the dispenser drawer by first sliding
the safety latch to the right,then pullingthe drawer
out until it stops.
• After adding laundryproducts, slowlyclose the
dispenser drawer. Closing thedrawer too quickly
could result in early dispensing ofthe bleach and
fabric softener.
• Laundryproductsusedwithpewderorliquid
detergent, such as color-safe bleach, water
conditioner, detergent booster,and enzyme
products should be added tothe emptytub before
loading.
Nots: From time to time you may see water in the I
bleach and fabric softener compartments, This isa

resultof the siphoning actionand is part of the
normal operation ofthewasher.
So
DETERGENT
• Add measured detergent to the detergent
compartment ofthedispenser drawer.
• Detergent isflushod from the dispenser at the
beginning ofthe cycle. Eitherpowdered or liquid
detergent can be used.Note: Liquiddetergent will
drain intothe washer drum as itisadded.
• Lowsudsing detergent isrecommended for this
washer. Usethe manufacturer's recommended
amount.
• If low sudsingdetergent isnot available, a reduced
amount ofregular detergent may be used.
Because reducingthe amount ofdetergent may
reduce cleaning, itisimportant to pretreat stains,
sort carefully by color and soillevel, and avoid
overloading.
• Detergent usage may need tobe adjusted for water
temperature, water hardness, size and soillevel of
the load.
• For best results, avoid oversudsing.
C. UQUID BLEACH
• Ifdesired, measure out the recommended amount
of liquidchlorine bleach (notto exceed 1/3 cup (80
mL)) and pour itintothe center compartment
labeled "LiquidBleach"and marked withthis
symbol.
• Do notexceed the maximum fillline. Overfilling
can cause early dispensingof the bleach which
could result indamaged clothes.
• Do not pour undilutadliquidchlodnebleach direcUy
onto the load or intothe drum. Fabric damage can
Occur,
• Do not use powdered bleach In the dispenser.

D. FABRIC SOFTENER
• Ifdesirad, peur the recommended amount offabric
softener intothe compartment labeled "Fabric
Softener" and marked with this symbol

• Dduteconcentrated softeners w_thwarm water to
the Fill Line.
• Do not exceed the maximum fill line. Overfilling
can cause eady dispensing of the fabric softener
which could result in stained clothes.
• Do not pour fabric softener directly on the
wash load.
• Use ofa fabric softener dispensing ball is not
recommended intumble actionwashers.
