Using Eco mode

Eco mode is useful when you go on
holiday, for example, if you do not wish
to switch off the refrigeration appliance
completely or do not need a high de-
gree of cooling. Energy consumption in
Eco mode is lower than in normal oper-
ation.
Turning Eco mode for the refrigerator
section on and off
Press the button for setting the tem-
perature in the refrigerator section
repeatedly until the display for Eco
mode in the refrigerator section lights
up or goes out again.
The temperature in the refrigerator sec-
tion rises to 8°C.
Health risk caused by decom-
posing food.
The usability and quality of food in
the refrigerator section may deterior-
ate if the temperature remains above
4°C for an extended period.
Only ever switch on Eco mode for a
limited period.
Do not store any temperature-sensit-
ive food which goes off easily, such
as fruit, vegetables, fish, meat and
dairy products, during this time.
Turning Eco mode for the freezer
section on and off
Press the button for setting the tem-
perature in the freezer section re-
peatedly until the display for Eco
mode in the freezer section lights up
or goes out again.
The temperature in the freezer section
rises to -16°C.
Health risk caused by decom-
posing food.
Storing food at a temperature higher
than -18°C in the freezer section for
an extended period of time may im-
pair the shelf life and quality of the
food.
Only ever switch on the Eco mode
function for a limited period.
When switching to the Eco mode
function, check that the food in the
freezer section is already properly
frozen.
Do not freeze any new food while the
Eco mode function is switched on.
