Starting Engine

1. Pushprimer(ifequipped)threetimes.Waitabout

recoilstarterhandleandpull ropeoutwitha rapid,

slowly.Repeatuntilenginecranks.Letthe rope
rewindeachtimeslowly.
Stopping Engine
1. Releasebladecontroltostoptheengineandthe
blade.
2. Disconnectsparkplugwirefromsparkplugand
groundagainsttheengine.

Using Your Lawn Mower
Besurethelawnisclearof stones,sticks,wire,or other
objectswhichcoulddamagethelawnmowerorthe
engine.Suchobjectscouldbeaccidentlythrownbythe
mowerinanydirectionandcauseseriouspersonalinjury
totheoperatorand others.
_ ARNING:ifyou strikeaforeign object,
stop the engine.Removewirefrom the
sparkplug, thoroughly inspectthemower
for anydamage,and repair thedamagebefore
restartingand operating the mower.Extensivevibra-
tion of the mower during operation isan indicationof
damage.The unit should be promptlyinspectedand
repaired.
Operating Tips
• Forbestresults,donotcutwetgrass.
• Newgrass,thickgrass,orwet grassmayrequirea
narrowercut.
• Fora healthierlawn,nevercut morethanone-thirdof
thetotallengthofthegrass.
• Yourlawnshouldbecutin thefallas longasthere
isgrowth.
• Adjustgroundspeedaccordingtoconditionoflawn.
