3. To turn the tool OFF, release the trigger switch (Fig. 21).
NOTE: Do not press the trigger switch until you are ready
to make a cut.
Adjusting Pole Chain Saw Pivoting Head
The pole chain saw cutting head can be rotated into 5 dierent
cutting angles.
1. Always disconnect the pole chain saw from the power
supply.
2. Place the pole chain saw on a sturdy at surface.
3. Press the pivot button and adjust the chain saw cutting
head to the desired angle (Fig. 22).
Extending the Telescoping Pole
The telescoping pole can be extended or shortened for ease
of use.
1. Disconnect the pole chain saw from the power supply.
2. Unlock the telescoping pole by turning the telescoping
locking coupler clockwise (Fig. 23).
3. Extend the telescoping pole to a comfortable height
(Fig. 24)
NOTE: Push poles toward each other to shorten the pole
or pull them away from each other to lengthen the pole.
Only extend the pole to the minimum length required to
reach the limb to be cut.
4. Lock the pole in position by turning the locking coupler
counter-clockwise, and ensure that the pole is secure.
Cutting Tips for Pole
Chain Saw
Proper Cutting Stance
• Balance your weight with both feet on solid ground.
• Your body should always be to the left of the chain line.
• The most typical cutting application is to position the
unit at an angle of 60° or less depending on the specic
situation (Fig. 25). As the angle of the pole chain saw shaft
to the ground increases, the diculty of making the rst
cut (from the underside of limb) increases.
