CHANGING THE BELT OR BRUSHBAR
IMPORTANT ensure the vacuum cleaner is switched off and unplugged before changing the belt or
brushbar.
IMPORTANT if the pick-up on the vacuum cleaner decreases or the brushbar stops rotating, the
belt or brushbar may need replacing. To do so please follow the steps below:
1. Remove base plate, turn the machine over and locate the four screws
highlighted.
2. Remove the screws (circled) from the base plate.
3. To remove the base plate, grip the edges where highlighted and flex the plate
away from the main machine.
4. Remove the old drive belt then locate the new belt around the motor spindle
and the brush as shown.
5. Locate the right-hand side of the brush assembly first.
6. Stretch the belt until the left-hand side of the brush locates into the housing.
7. IMPORTANT Rotate the brush to ensure the belt has been correctly fitted.
8. To replace the base plate, line it up and click it into place then secure with
the four screws. Ensure the front edge of the base plate is pressed into place.
