Before cleaning, unplug the cord from outlet.
The removable blade assembly should be detached and cleaned thoroughly
in warm, soapy water. Refer to the section below for instructions on how to
detach the blade assembly from the unit.
Do not immerse the motor housing in water.
Clean the drive wheel by wiping it with a damp cloth.
Note: This item is not dishwasher-safe.
Note: Do not immerse the body part of can opener into water.
How To Clean The Blade Assembly:
1. Unplug the cord from the mains outlet. Lift the lever to the vertical position.
Hold the can opener and ease the cutting assembly out of the case. Wash in
hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
2. Before replacing the cutting lever, wipe the can opener housing and the
area around the drive wheel with a slightly damp cloth or sponge. To remove
stubborn spots, wipe the surfaces with a nylon cloth or mesh pad and sudsy
water, following with a clean, damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive
cleaners on any part of the can opener as it may damage the finish.
3. To replace the blade assembly, hold the lever in a vertical position, insert
the shaft into the keyhole and push the lever in all the way. Rotate the lever
clockwise until it is horizontal. If the lever is in the correct position, it cannot be
removed from the can opener when in the horizontal position.
CAUTION! The blade is very sharp. Take extreme care when handling the knife
and blade.
Hint: The cutting mechanism may collect food or paper from can labels and should
be washed frequently.
