FAN CLEANING
• Always unplug the fan before cleaning.

Clean the fan grill, housing and base with a soft, damp
cloth. Do not attempt to remove the fan blade. Please
use caution around the motor housing area. Do not

FAN STORAGE
When storing this fan in the off season, it is important to
keep it in a safe dry location. It is important to protect
the fan head from dust.

CLEANING/MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Follow these instructions to correctly and safely care for
this fan. Please remember:
REPLACEABLE FUSE
If the (2.5 Amp, 125 Volt) replaceable fuse blows,
please visit our website at www.getholmesfans.com for
information on how to order a new fuse. Follow the
below instructions to replace the fuse on the plug.
User Servicing Instructions
1. Unplug the fan. Grasp plug and remove from the
receptacle or other outlet device. Do not unplug by
pulling on cord.
2. Open fuse cover, located on the top of the plug, by
using your thumb or a flathead screwdriver to slide
the cover down towards the prongs.
NOTE: Ensure that fuse cover is completely open
before attempting to remove fuse.
3. Remove fuse carefully by using a small screwdriver
to pry the fuse out of the compartment by the
metal ends of the fuse.
(see Figure 5)
4. Place plug on a solid, flat
surface. Insert new
2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse
into fuse compartment
and use a small
screwdriver to secure the metal ends of the fuse
into the compartment.
CAUTION: Risk of fire. Replace fuse only with
2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.
5. Slide fuse cover closed completely. If fuse cover is
difficult to close, make sure fuse is secured in place
completely by pressing down on metal ends of the
fuse.
6. Risk of fire. Do not replace attachment plug. Contains
a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed.
Discard product if the attachment plug is damaged.

NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE ALL CONTENTS FROM
THE PACKAGE. PLEASE CHECK PACKAGING MATERIALS FOR
PARTS THAT COULD BE REQUIRED TO OPERATE YOUR FAN.
1. Assemble base halves (D) around power cord. To
secure the base halves together, slide the posts of
one base half into the slots of the second base half.
Refer to Figure 2.
2. Line up the screws holes of the base halves with the
holes located on the bottom of the fan housing.
Secure with the three screws included with the
product. Refer to Figure 2.
3. Secure power cord as shown in Figure 2.
4. Turn fan right side up and place on a dry and level
surface.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: (SEE FIGURE 3)
1. Plug the cord into a standard 120 volt AC outlet.
2. To turn the fan on, press the POWER button (A) located
on the control panel or remote control, indicator light
will be on. The fan will start running in the highest
setting.
3. Press the SPEED button (B) to cycle through 5 speed
settings in sequence. The corresponding indicator light
will illuminate.
4. To turn the oscillation on and off, press the OSC
button (D) located on the control panel or remote
control.
5. To change the mode, press the MODE button (E) to
cycle through the mode selection; indicator light will
be on to indicate the Normal, Breeze, Sleep, or Power
Breeze modes.
6. To set your fan to automatically shut off, press the
TIMER button (C) located on the control panel or the
remote control. When set, the fan will run and
automatically shut off after the set duration of time
(1, 2, 4, 8 hours) has expired.
7. To silence setting confirmation beeps, press the MUTE
button (F) located on the remote control; MUTE icon
on the LED display will be on. Press the button again
to re-activate setting confirmation beeps; MUTE icon
on the LED display will be off.
8. To turn the fan off press the POWER button (A)
located on the control panel or remote control.
NOTE: Your fan features a LED display panel. When a
specific feature is activated on your fan, the LED panel
will illuminate with the corresponding icon(s) showing
which features have been activated.
THIS APPLIANCE HAS A POLARIZED PLUG (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in
a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician to install the proper outlet.

The cells should be disposed of properly, including keeping

a) Locate the battery compartment on the bottom back of
the remote control handset. Push tab and pull battery
tray.
b) Remove old battery.
c) Place new battery into battery compartment.
d) Slide battery compartment into the remote control
handset.
NOTES:
• Remove the battery from the equipment when it is not
being used for an extended period of time.
• Remove the used battery promptly.
• Do not discard used batteries into household trash
containers. Contact your local government for disposal
or recycling practices in your area.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions

1. Read all instructions before using this appliance.
2. Use fan only for purposes described in the instruction
manual. This fan is not for continuous operation or
equivalent.
3. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse
unit, plug or cord in water or spray with liquids and
plug the appliance directly into a 120V AC electrical
outlet.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is

6. Unplug from outlet when not in use, when moving
fan from one location to another, before putting on

12. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by
the appliance manufacturer may cause hazards.
13. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table,
counter or come in contact with hot surfaces or leave
exposed to high traffic areas.
14. Do not use outdoors.
15. To disconnect, grip plug and pull from wall outlet.
Never yank on cord.
16. Always use on a dry, level surface.
17. Do not operate fan until fully assembled with all
parts properly in place.
18. This product is intended for household use ONLY and
not for commercial or industrial applications.
19. WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock
and injury to persons, do not use in window.
20. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric
shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed
control device.
21. This product employs overload protection (fuse). A
blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit
situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from
the outlet. Replace the fuse as per the user servicing
instructions (follow product marking for proper fuse
rating) and check the product. If the replacement fuse
blows, a short circuit may be present and the product
should be discarded or contact customer service.

WARNING: Chemical Burn Hazard. Keep batteries
away from children.
This product contains a lithium button/coin cell battery. If
a new or used lithium button/coin cell battery is
swallowed or enters the body, it can cause severe internal
burns and can lead to death in as little as 2 hours.
Always completely secure the battery compartment. If
the battery compartment does not close securely, stop
using the product, remove the batteries, and keep it
away from children. If you think batteries might have
been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body,
seek immediate medical attention.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS: (SEE FIGURE 1 & 2)

NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE ALL CONTENTS FROM
THE PACKAGE. PLEASE CHECK PACKAGING MATERIALS FOR
PARTS THAT COULD BE REQUIRED TO OPERATE YOUR FAN.
1. Assemble base halves (D) around power cord. To
secure the base halves together, slide the posts of
one base half into the slots of the second base half.
Refer to Figure 2.
2. Line up the screws holes of the base halves with the
holes located on the bottom of the fan housing.
Secure with the three screws included with the
product. Refer to Figure 2.
3. Secure power cord as shown in Figure 2.
4. Turn fan right side up and place on a dry and level
surface.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: (SEE FIGURE 3)
1. Plug the cord into a standard 120 volt AC outlet.
2. To turn the fan on, press the POWER button (A) located
on the control panel or remote control, indicator light
will be on. The fan will start running in the highest
setting.
3. Press the SPEED button (B) to cycle through 5 speed
settings in sequence. The corresponding indicator light
will illuminate.
4. To turn the oscillation on and off, press the OSC
button (D) located on the control panel or remote
control.
5. To change the mode, press the MODE button (E) to
cycle through the mode selection; indicator light will
be on to indicate the Normal, Breeze, Sleep, or Power
Breeze modes.
6. To set your fan to automatically shut off, press the
TIMER button (C) located on the control panel or the
remote control. When set, the fan will run and
automatically shut off after the set duration of time
(1, 2, 4, 8 hours) has expired.
7. To silence setting confirmation beeps, press the MUTE
button (F) located on the remote control; MUTE icon
on the LED display will be on. Press the button again
to re-activate setting confirmation beeps; MUTE icon
on the LED display will be off.
8. To turn the fan off press the POWER button (A)
located on the control panel or remote control.
NOTE: Your fan features a LED display panel. When a
specific feature is activated on your fan, the LED panel
will illuminate with the corresponding icon(s) showing
which features have been activated.
THIS APPLIANCE HAS A POLARIZED PLUG (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in
a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician to install the proper outlet.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MODIFY THIS PLUG OR DEFEAT THIS
SAFETY FEATURE IN ANY WAY.

This unit includes one lithium battery, CR2025/3V.
Remove battery before discarding the remote.
Battery Replacement
The cells should be disposed of properly, including keeping
them away from children. Even used cells may cause injury.
a) Locate the battery compartment on the bottom back of
the remote control handset. Push tab and pull battery
tray.
b) Remove old battery.
c) Place new battery into battery compartment.
d) Slide battery compartment into the remote control
handset.
NOTES:
• Remove the battery from the equipment when it is not
being used for an extended period of time.
• Remove the used battery promptly.
• Do not discard used batteries into household trash
containers. Contact your local government for disposal
or recycling practices in your area.

If the (2.5 Amp, 125 Volt) replaceable fuse blows,

information on how to order a new fuse. Follow the
below instructions to replace the fuse on the plug.
User Servicing Instructions
1. Unplug the fan. Grasp plug and remove from the
receptacle or other outlet device. Do not unplug by
pulling on cord.
2. Open fuse cover, located on the top of the plug, by
using your thumb or a flathead screwdriver to slide
the cover down towards the prongs.
NOTE: Ensure that fuse cover is completely open
before attempting to remove fuse.
3. Remove fuse carefully by using a small screwdriver
to pry the fuse out of the compartment by the
metal ends of the fuse.
(see Figure 5)
4. Place plug on a solid, flat
surface. Insert new
2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse
into fuse compartment
and use a small
screwdriver to secure the metal ends of the fuse
into the compartment.
CAUTION: Risk of fire. Replace fuse only with
2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.
5. Slide fuse cover closed completely. If fuse cover is
difficult to close, make sure fuse is secured in place
completely by pressing down on metal ends of the
fuse.
6. Risk of fire. Do not replace attachment plug. Contains
a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed.
Discard product if the attachment plug is damaged.
