Brewing
WARNING:
- During use, the appliance produces hot steam. Keep clear of the area above the appliance
at all times.
- Do not open the lid (1) or keep the lid opened during use (ill. l)
- Do not touch the appliance housing during use (ill. m).
- During operation, the warming plate (8) will start to heat up and remain on until the
appliance is switched off. Never touch the warming plate (8) during use or remove
accessories when the appliance is plugged in and switched on (ill. o).
NOTE:
- Depending on the number of cups required to be brewed, the amount of ground coffee has
to be adjusted. As a general rule, one scoop of ground coffee equals one cup.
- The appliance will run until no water is left in the water tank (3).
- It is possible to remove the carafe (14) from the keep warm plate (8) during the brewing
process for a short time, within 30 seconds, to pour coffee. The ow of coffee is stopped
by the drip stop (ill. n). Do not remove the carafe (14) for longer periods of time (> 30
seconds), as the lter basket (10) can overow and cause scalding.
Once the brewing cycle has nished, the coffee is kept warm with the warming plate (8)
until the appliance is switched off.
Switch the appliance off by setting the I/O (on/off) button (7) in the O position (ill. p).
Disconnect the appliance from the wall outlet (ill. q)
Remove the carafe (14) from the keep warm plate (8).
Allow the appliance to cool down before opening the lid (1), removing the lter basket (10)
/ paper lter from the lter housing (4). Always remove any used paper lter after use.
Remove with caution, as recently used paper lter can be hot.
WARNING:
- The lter basket / paper lter is hot after using the appliance. Allow to cool before
removing.
- Hot steam might be trapped under the lid (1).
- Do not add water immediately after brewing. Hot steam will generate and scalding may
occur.
NOTE:
- If you want to brew another cup(s) of coffee, allow the appliance to cool for at least 3
minutes, before starting a new brewing cycle.
- Always ensure the water level is suitable for your next brew. Rell the water tank (3) if
necessary.
- Always replace a new paper lter and ll it with fresh ground coffee. Do not reuse the
same paper lter / ground coffee.
- Close the lid (1) afterwards. Repeat previous steps (

HINTS AND TIPS
As a general rule, one measuring scoop of ground coffee equals one cup.
It is recommended to avoid placing the appliance under cabinets, as rising steam can cause
damage to wooden furniture.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Proper maintenance will ensure many years of service from your appliance. Clean the
appliance after every use. The appliance contains no user serviceable parts and requires little
maintenance. Leave any servicing or repairs to qualied personnel.
WARNING:
- Always disconnect the plug (6) from the wall outlet before cleaning. Allow all parts of the
appliance to cool down completely.
