Forward/Reverse/Lock-off Slider (Fig.E)
For tightening screws, use forward rotation. For loosening
screws, use reverserotation.
1. To select forward rotation, push the forward/reverse
slider

to the right handposition.
2. To select reverse rotation, push the forward/reverse
slider

to the left handposition.
3. To lock the tool, set the forward/reverse slider into the
centerposition.
NOTE: When the forward/reverse/lock‑off slider

is
in the center position the tool is locked‑off to prevent
accidental actuation or batterydischarge.
Switching On and Off (Fig.A, D)
NOTE: When the screwdriver is activated by pressing the On/
Off switch

will automaticallyilluminate.
1. To run the screwdriver, press the On/Off switch

2. To stop the screwdriver, release the On/Off switch

3. To lock the tool in the off position, move the forward/
reverse/lock‑off slider

LED Worklight (Fig. A)
CAUTION: When using the worklight for purposes
other than screwdriving or drilling be sure to
remove all accessories. Unused accessories could
cause injury or propertydamage.

Inserting and Removing Bits (Fig.C)
NOTE: The hex spindle

accepts 1/4” (6.4mm) hex
accessoriesonly.
1. To install a bit simply insert it into the cavity in the hex
spindle

as shown in Fig.C.
2. To remove the bit, pull it straight out from the hexspindle.
ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal

or removing/installing attachments or accessories. An
accidental start‑up can causeinjury.
Charging Procedure (Fig. B)
WARNING: Do not use tool while it is connected to the
USB cable.
1. Insert the micro USB plug

into the charging port

2. Plug the USB plug

into any USB port (such as on a
computer).
3. Charging is complete in 1 to 3 hours depending on
power supply rating. The charging LED

will illuminate
whilecharging.
4. Charging is complete when the charging LED

turns off.
5. The battery can be left charging or the USB cable can
bedisconnnected.
Hot/Cold Delay
When the tool detects that the battery is too hot or too cold,
it automatically starts a hot/cold delay, suspending charging
until the battery has reached an appropriate temperature.
The tool then automatically switches to charging mode. This
feature ensures maximum batterylife.
1. A cold battery may charge at a slower rate than a
warmbattery.
2. Once the battery has reached an appropriate
temperature, the chargingprocedure will resume.
Electronic Protection System
Li‑Ion tools are designed with an Electronic Protection
System that will protect the battery against overloading,
overheating or deep discharge. The tool will automatically
turn off and the battery will need to berecharged.
Important Charging Notes
1. The tool may become warm to the touch while charging.
This is a normal condition, and does not indicate a
problem. To facilitate the cooling of the tool after use,
avoid placing the tool in a warm environment such as in
a metal shed or an uninsulatedtrailer.
2. If the tool does not charge properly, take the tool and
USB cable to your local servicecenter.
3. You may charge a partially used battery whenever you
desire with no adverse effect on thetool.
Screwdriving
NOTE: For best performance, #8, 2” and smaller fasteners are
recommended, or screw into pre‑drilledholes.
1. Grasp the screwdriver as shown in Fig. D.
2. Insert the appropriate screwdriver bit into the hex
spindle

3. Select forward or reverse rotation using the forward/
reverse/lock‑off slider

This screwdriver is intended for tightening and loosening
screws, nuts, and the like and is not equipped with an
impactingmechanism.
