Ifthedryerisnotlevel,propupthedryerusingawoodblock.
Useawrenchtoadjustthelegsupordownandcheckagainfor
levelness.
NOTE:Itmightbenecessarytolevelthedryeragainafterithas
beenmovedintoitsfinalposition.
1. Usinga4in.(10.2cm)clamp,connectventtoexhaustoutlet
indryer.Ifconnectingtoexistingvent,makesuretheventis
clean.Thedryerventmustfitoverthedryerexhaustoutlet
andinsidetheexhausthood.Makesuretheventissecured
toexhausthoodwitha4in.(10.2cm)clamp.
2. Movedryerintofinalposition.Donotcrushorkinkvent.
Makesuredryerislevel.
3. (Ongasmodels)Checktobesuretherearenokinksinthe
flexiblegasline.
1. Checktobesureallpartsarenowinstalled.Ifthereisan
extrapart,gobackthroughthestepstoseewhichstepwas
skipped.
2. Checktobesureyouhaveallofyourtools.
3. Disposeofallpackagingmaterials.
4. Checkthedryer'sfinallocation.Besuretheventisnot
crushedorkinked.
5. Checktobesurethedryerislevel.See"LevelDryer."
6. Plugintoagroundedoutlet.Turnpoweron.
7. Removetheblueprotectivefilmontheconsoleandanytape
remainingonthedryer.
8. Read"DryerUse."
9. Wipethedryerdruminteriorthoroughlywithadampclothto
removeanydust.
10.Setthedryeronafullheatcycle(notanaircycle)for
20minutesandstartthedryer.
If the dryer will not start, check the following:
Controls are set in a running or "On" position.
Start button has been pushed firmly.
Dryer is plugged into a grounded outlet.
Electrical supply is connected.
House fuse is intact and tight, or circuit breaker has not
tripped.
Dryer door is closed.
11. When the dryer has been running for 5 minutes, open the
dryer door and feel for heat.
If you do not feel heat, turn the dryer off and check the
following:
There may be 2 fuses or circuit breakers for the dryer. Check
to make sure both fuses are intact and tight, or that both
circuit breakers have not tripped. If there is still no heat,
contact a qualified technician.
NOTE: You may notice a burning odor when the dryer is first
heated. This odor is common when the heating element is first
used. The odor will go away.
