Aboutthe ice and water dispenser.
On some models
To Use the Dispenser
SpillShelf
Select CUBEDICE _, CRUSHEDICE
or WATER_.
Press the ,glassgently against the top of
the dispenser cradle.
The spill shelf is not self-draining. To
reduce water spotting, the shelf and its
grille should be cleaned regularly.
If no wateris dispensedwhen therefrigerator
is first installed,theremaybe air in the water
line system.Pressthe dispenserarm for at least
two minutesto removetrappedair fromthe water
lineandto fill the watersystem.Toflushout
impuritiesin the waterline, throwawaythefirst
sixglassfulsof water.
CAUTION:Neverput fingersorany other
objectsinto the ice crusherdischargeopening.
Locking the Dispenser (on somemode/s)

Ice Storage Drawer
on Dispenser Models
Toremove:
Set the icemaker power switch to tlle
0 (off) position. Pull tile drawer suaight
out and then lift p_tst tile stopposition.
Toreplace:
When replacing tile (hm,vei; make sure
m push it fimlly into place. If it does not
go all tile way back, remove it and rotate
the drNe mechanism 1/4 turn. Then push
the drawer back again.

Important Facts About Your Dispenser
Do not add ice flom m_ys or bags m
die storage bin. It may not crush or
dispense well.
Avoid overfilling glass with ice and use of
nanow gl_tsses. Backe&up ice can jam tile
clmm or cause the door in tile chum m
fleeze slmt. If ice is blocking the chum,
poke it through with a wooden spoon.
Beverages and foods should not be
quick-chilled in the ice storage bin.
Cans, bottles or food packages in the
storage bin m W cause tile icemaker
or auger to jam.
To keep dispensed ice flom missing
tile glass, put the ,glass close to, but not
touching, the dispenser opening.
Some crushed ice may be dispensed even
though you selected CUBED ICE. This
happens occasionally when a few cubes
have been left in tile cmsheL
AfYercrashed ice is dispensed, some
wamr may drip flom die chum.
Sometimes a small mound of snow will
form on tile door in tile ice chum. This
condition is nomml and usually occurs
when you have dispensed crushed ice
repeamdly. Tile snow will eventually
evaporate.
Tile first glass of water dispensed mW be
warmer than tile following ones. This is

Dispensed water is not ice cold. For
coMer water; simply add crushed ice or
cubes before dispensing wateL
